Attending Cocktail Hour?????

Hey Girls,

How many of you attended your cocktail hour? Did you feel it took away from your grand entrance during the reception? I want to attend some part of the cocktail hour but don't want it to take away from the grand entrance during the reception!

I am in the same boat as u. I don't want to take away from our grand entrance n I don't want ppl all coming up to me while I'm trying to sample all the tasty foods but we do have a lot of guests coming so I want to make sure I greet n thank every1. I think the best compromise for us is to pop by the cocktail hr quickly n eat in the bridal suite!

We will be attending our cocktail hour. My venue said that they schedule the ceremony for an hour even though it's usually shorter so that we can take more pictures after the ceremony and still enjoy the cocktail hour. They said they open the room early.

FH and I agreed we both want to attend cocktail hour. We didn't want to miss the kick off to the party and it will give us time to greet guests, so we will have to do less of that during the reception.

THIS! Let's be honest, the best food at a wedding is at the cocktail hour! LOL! I don't want to miss it, and I def don't think it'll take away from the grand entrance. I've been to plenty of weddings when the bride and groom were at the CH and it didn't take away from anything.

This! We're thinking of extending our CH to make sure we get enough time there!

I'm definitely attending mine! But my fiance and I aren't concerned about having an entrance and scheduled our ceremony early enough to do pictures off site before cocktail hour starts.
