Attending cocktail hour..do you still get to make a grand entrance??

I was hoping to attend my cocktail hour but my MOH said that if we did then we couldn't make a big entrance to our reception. What do you think?? I still want to have the whole announced entrance into the reception.

Of course you can...I'm doing this, and have seen it done many times by other brides.

who says you can't!? your MOH (no offense) is totally wrong.

i've been to plenty of weddings where the attend the CH.

heck the wedding i was in, in sept. about 10 min. before the end of the CH--we were all escorted to the bridal suite by the maitre d' and told to relax in there (plenty of food and stuff) and then we lined up for the announcements and the bride & groom had their big entrance

of course you can still have the grand entrance....its your wedding

FH and I plan on attending our CH and we're still going to have an entrance into the reception that's awesome just like us

there's no rules when it comes to your big day...do what you want and forget what people say...its whatever is going to make you and FH happy

you can defintely go to your cocktail hour and then have your entrance. You paid for it!! This is a great time ti mingle with guests especially if you have a big guest list so then you won't have to cut into party time later. I'm going to do this and may even have my receiving line again.

I did both - best thing ever! People were more excited because we got to drink together at the cocktail hour and then our grand ent. was more about the dramatic music we had around us that really bad the place go nuts.

Of course its possible!! I want to attend my CH, and also make an entrance. I dont want to miss out on anything!

There is going to be soo much going on at the CH I would definatly not want to miss out on all the fun!!! Go and have a great time at the CH

I guess I'm being redundant to the other replies here, but you can certainly still do this! I did and it didn't feel weird at all, it was a great thing.

Of course you can!!!! I did and every other wedding I've been to and been in where the couple was at CH, they made a grand entrance.

She needs to brush up on her wedding do's and dont's I think.
