I know there are many teachers on this board. My FSIL is a teacher and works for a day care center, that teaches UPK and was a Kindergarden teacher there but they no longer offer that program there. Just was curious if anyone knew of any jobs openings for a elementry teacher. She really needs to find a job at a school. She has her masters in elementry education and is certified. Thanks for listening. Hopeful that there might be something out there. Thanks girls.
unfortunately elementary positions are very hard to come by and it's very political. she should keep her eye out for education recruitment fairs. www.deptofed.org gives recruitment info for minorities- i am not a minority and i went last year (they can't discriminate) and it was totally worth it. i would also suggest that she get a position as a permanent sub to keep her resume up to date and network at schools. she really needs to be proactive and consider nyc also... it's tough! i've been there! it took me almost 2 years to find a guidance position!
