Attention Big Girls

Attention Big Girls

My sister is a plus size 32 in regular clothing. She waited until the last minute and is now freaking out wear to get a dress. I want her to be my MOH but that is if she can find a baby pink dress (to go with my color scheme). But if that doesn't work out she still needs a dress? And we searched online. Do you girls now of any good online shops or a dress shop would be better so she can try things on or look at fabrics and such

TIA

Estelle's would be her best bet at this point...otherwise i'm not sure.

did she just suddenly become your MOH now? u didn't ask her into the BP beforehand?

Re: Attention Big Girls

I asked her a long time ago but she has been procratinating finding a dress until I gave her a deadline. If worse comes to worse she will be my unofficial MOH because I can't change my colors for her. She has helped alot in this whole process and I would want nothing but for her to be my MOH.
My mom thinks otherwise. She feels thAT if my sis was my MOH then she will get negative attention but I told her if that is the case she would get it regardless because she would still come the wedding. And she is only 24! So she doesn't want an old lady dress.

Sorry, too long.

well even if she found a color to complement the pink..can she do that? Shes your MOH so she doesnt have to 'match' the BM dresses or color!

i agree - moh can be different- whatever she looks pretty in that does not clash with everyone else's pink. good luck !

Try www.alight.com; Nordstrom, Lane Bryant, Avenue, Macy's, Estelle's, David's Bridal...

I also agree that she can wear a complimentary color and doesn't need to match the BMs.

pink is the complementary color and the bms dresses are green. my colors are green and pink.

I'm sorry, I'm still getting over the title 'attention, big girls'....am I the only one that found this slightly hilarious?? Not in any way do I mean to offend someone, I'm no skinny minny myself, I just thought it was hysterical!!

I hate to say this but I have to be honest. You want your bridal party to look good for your wedding, I understand your color scheme is pink but if you let her wear pink it will make her look bigger and make her uncomfortable....thats just my honest opinion.

I have to say quite frankly that I would never subject my sister to wearing baby pink if she were significantly overweight, nor would I ever tell her that she could be my MOH on the condition she found a certain dress. Having said that, perhaps she could have one made?

Well a lot of MOHs are wearing diff colors than everyone else. See what she can find and feels comfortable in. I think that's more important than the color. I think it's a lot of pressure for her to find something, knowing if she doesn't she can't be ure MOH.

My mom just went to Totally You on Merrick Road right on the border of wantagh and bellmore. She is plus size and they had her dress in stock so she brought it home the same day. They seem to have a wide assortment for a variety of ages and sizes and colors.
