Attention Brides...How many of you used a vendor that isnt a vendor from?LIW

Ok so i met with a videographer and a photographer last night... They made me feel so comfortable and were great. But all that keeps on my mind is that they are never mentioned on here or i can't find anyone that used them to get a review. I wanna know how many of you brides used or booked a vendor in that same category? Please post this is bothering much.

Both my photographer and band are not from LIW. I love them both. Maybe you can mention their names and someone will know of them.

My photohrapher/videogtapher arent from here either. Some brides have used them and i read their reviews of them. Maybe if you mention who they are someone might have heard of them and be able to help you. Also checj the BBB to see if there are any complaints against them.

I really feel that if u felt the most comfortable with them then that is who you should go with wether or not it is a LIW vendor or not. I always say go with your gut.

i have some vendors not on here but recommended by many and my FH. in my search i have collected recommendations not only from my RH but from other halls in the area. - does anyone anywhere recommend them?

A LOT of my vendors are not from this site. It doesn't mean that you should worry. There a lot of brides, present and present that have used vendors that are not sponsered vendors.

If you feel comfortable and they fit in your budget. Go for it!

Most of my vendors aren't LIW vendors. My photographer happens to be, but that's not where I found them. (My brother used them for his wedding)

Remember, just b/c they're on LIW doesn't mean they're good! It just means they pay to advertise here. There are many good vendors here, but advertising here doesn't make them necessarily any better than those who do not advertise here.

my photographer/videographer was not when i booked and now they are...

my DJ is not...

i would go with your gutt feeling if you are confident they will do the job you would want then go for it!

Not all my vendors are listed on LIW.
I picked them all before I joined the boards.

Only one of my vendors was an LIW vendor - it was for my chair covers. All my other vendors were non-LIW.

eta - One of them, however, was used by girls on here, so I was able to see reviews before using them.

my florist is not mention as part of liw vendor. many girls here used them they have a shop in queens. My photography isnt mentioned either.

Alot of my vendors are no LIW vendors.
Honestly I have not been influenced by any LIW vendors except for hair and makeup...I went by word of mouth from Family and friends.

My make up artist and photographers are often talked about on the boards but the are not vendors. Hall, Limos, Florist are only official LIW vendors.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Our florist and videographer are liweddings vendors, but I don't think anyone else.

Don't worry if they're not recommended here. Most of the vendors I saw aren't on here, but they are recommended by the hall which I think holds more value. If you feel good about it then go for it, you can always search the Brides Review for brides who have used them, or the better business bureau to see if they are rated on there.

I have some who are, and some who aren't. As others have said, just because they're a vendor here doesn't mean they're good, it just means they advertise here. And not everyone puts bad reviews up, either. I was very unhappy with one LIW vendor I tried out. Not sure if I'm going to give them a bad review in my Bride's Review or just not bother.

The best thing to do is check the Better Business Bureau. Then check on here for reviews.

My Dj/band will not be a vendor of LIW , not bec of anything bad its just that we want a greek dj/band

You should also note that many of the vendors who are recommended on the message boards are not 'LIW vendors' (i.e., they don't pay to advertise here).

Plenty of popular, frequently recommended vendors are not actually among those who advertise here.
