Attention Brides...How many of you used a vendor that isnt a vendor from?LIW

Ok so i met with a videographer and a photographer last night... They made me feel so comfortable and were great. But all that keeps on my mind is that they are never mentioned on here or i can't find anyone that used them to get a review. I wanna know how many of you brides used or booked a vendor in that same category? Please post this is bothering much.

I don't think any of my vendors are from LIW, (actually maybe 1.)

But LIW Vendors are not the end all and be all in wedding vendors. There are many, many great vendors out there that are not associated with LIW. If you got a good vibe from them, that's what's important.

I would say though, it's important to get referrals, whether they are from LIW brides or not. That's how I booked most of my people.

The more I think of it, I think only my invitation vendor is a LIW vendor...

Remember, just b/c they're on LIW doesn't mean they're good! It just means they pay to advertise here. There are many good vendors here, but advertising here doesn't make them necessarily any better than those who do not advertise here.

AGREED. My band (Chaser) isn't from here and so far I love 'em!

some of mine are on here- I think most are not. Honestly, while I LOVE this site, I didn't use it when searcing for a vendor other than through the chat boards. I did my own research through the internet and from wedding events I've attended. So really Im not even sure who is a vendor on here and who isn't.

The Photographer I was talking about was Cathy Slatas from Photographic Images and the videographer from Enchanted Video Productions. Anyone heard of them

Most of my vendors are not LIW vendors. I got recs from my friends.

Actually my photo/video (golden moments) are LIW vendors, but I got recs from different friends, and met with dan and pat before I realized they were liw vendors.

Like everyone says LIW and RH vendors aren't the only vendors out there. They are just vendors that paid to be on LIW or 'house' vendors.

Same with me. I found mine on my own. One of mine is avendor here, but I didn't know that when I booked him.

my photographer isn't a LIW vendor...but lots of girls on here have used her and she's great

if you love them and the price is right and the connection is there then i say go for it!

I am using Martin Willard for Photography, he isnt a vendor but his work is amazing, and hes been around for soooo long

some of my vendors aren't LIW .. but like some ladies mentioned, if you post their names I am sure some people have dealt with or heard of them

the only vendor of mine that i a liw vendor is get in tune which is my dj. but dont get discouraged just because they arent a vendor on liw doesnt mean that they arent good. im sure who ever you met with is gonna be great. just the fact that you felt comfortable when you met with them is a great thing and i feel that that is what really matters
