Hello all:

Ron has asked me to help him coordinate an LIW event this summer at Shea Stadium.

LIW will be hosting a group outing to a Met game at Shea Stadium this summer, with a tailgate party before or after the game depending on the time. I have posted a poll with 4 prospective dates, along with the time each game starts.

Please vote in the poll, but also PLEASE RESPOND TO THE THREAD WITH THE DATE YOU CAN LIKELY ATTEND, WHETHER YOU CAN ATTEND, AND HOW MANY PEOPLE YOU ARE BRINGING. SPOUSES ARE INVITED

THERE WILL BE A CONTEST AT THE EVENT WITH PRIZES TO BE AWARDED

DEADLINE FOR LETTING ME KNOW IS MARCH 15TH 2005 AND AT THAT POINT, I WILL FM RON WITH THE DATE AND HEAD COUNT.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ONCE YOU COMMIT TO COMING AND YOUR TICKETS ARE ORDERED, YOU OWN THE TICKETS, SO SHOULD YOU NEED TO CANCEL, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SELLING THE TICKETS TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK.

I will bump this thread regularly as a reminder.

Looking forward to seeing/meeting you all.

Please FM me with questions.

Don

Thanks for asking! it's still going..there were very few openings that i'm interested in, and I'm waiting to hear back from a few. There's a lull right now, as i'm waiting for responses.

My FH (Mets fan! ) would probably be interested... any of the dates would work for us except for July 23rd... We could probably do that day but it would be hectic as we are leaving for vacation the next day.

When is the Yankees LIW sponsored GTG??

I voted for August 20th - but it doesn't really matter. I would definately drive all the way up from VA for a Mets game/LIW GTG!

I voted for the earliest day possible (July 16th), because this baby will be ready to pop out any later than that

VERY cool idea - either August game is fine for us (FH and I are HUGE Mets fans, we already have tix to 2 of the games listed) - but I voted for Aug. 6th.
