Hello all:

Ron has asked me to help him coordinate an LIW event this summer at Shea Stadium.

LIW will be hosting a group outing to a Met game at Shea Stadium this summer, with a tailgate party before or after the game depending on the time. I have posted a poll with 4 prospective dates, along with the time each game starts.

Please vote in the poll, but also PLEASE RESPOND TO THE THREAD WITH THE DATE YOU CAN LIKELY ATTEND, WHETHER YOU CAN ATTEND, AND HOW MANY PEOPLE YOU ARE BRINGING. SPOUSES ARE INVITED

THERE WILL BE A CONTEST AT THE EVENT WITH PRIZES TO BE AWARDED

DEADLINE FOR LETTING ME KNOW IS MARCH 15TH 2005 AND AT THAT POINT, I WILL FM RON WITH THE DATE AND HEAD COUNT.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ONCE YOU COMMIT TO COMING AND YOUR TICKETS ARE ORDERED, YOU OWN THE TICKETS, SO SHOULD YOU NEED TO CANCEL, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SELLING THE TICKETS TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK.

I will bump this thread regularly as a reminder.

Looking forward to seeing/meeting you all.

Please FM me with questions.

Don

Is this for real? RON are u alright...? Well I am a met fan but I married a dang yankee fan but we would go. I picked July 16 but really any of the days are good with me. Im not a fan of day games though I like night games. My hubby works till 630 on saturdays though.

I answered yes earlier before even asking DH if he'd go too (he HATES the drive up to NY). I figured I'd just have to find a way later on to convince him to go....
BUT, I just asked him now to see what he'd say and he actually said that he'd go!

We don't know for sure what date or if we are able to come but it sounds cool. As you may or may not know my DH is a big Met Fan. I will talk to him and let you know soon.

Re: ATTENTION: LIW-Sponsored GTG at Shea Stadium

I will ask DH when he gets home. Sounds like a fun idea. I am a Met fan but he is Yankee first then Met fan but he loves sports so maybe he would go. He is salso involved in a fantasy baseball league so this might be fun for him as well.
