Hello all:

Ron has asked me to help him coordinate an LIW event this summer at Shea Stadium.

LIW will be hosting a group outing to a Met game at Shea Stadium this summer, with a tailgate party before or after the game depending on the time. I have posted a poll with 4 prospective dates, along with the time each game starts.

Please vote in the poll, but also PLEASE RESPOND TO THE THREAD WITH THE DATE YOU CAN LIKELY ATTEND, WHETHER YOU CAN ATTEND, AND HOW MANY PEOPLE YOU ARE BRINGING. SPOUSES ARE INVITED

THERE WILL BE A CONTEST AT THE EVENT WITH PRIZES TO BE AWARDED

DEADLINE FOR LETTING ME KNOW IS MARCH 15TH 2005 AND AT THAT POINT, I WILL FM RON WITH THE DATE AND HEAD COUNT.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ONCE YOU COMMIT TO COMING AND YOUR TICKETS ARE ORDERED, YOU OWN THE TICKETS, SO SHOULD YOU NEED TO CANCEL, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SELLING THE TICKETS TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK.

I will bump this thread regularly as a reminder.

Looking forward to seeing/meeting you all.

Please FM me with questions.

Don

I picked July 16, but I honestly have no preference at all. I don'tplan that far ahead. Me and FH would both be coming.

I voted for the 23rd. I think the 3pm game time start is the best. It doesn't ruin people's evenings. And its not too early where you have to wake up either.

FH and I will both be coming - I think I already responded that I voted 8.6.05, but we can make any date work EXCEPT july 23 - good 'ole family reunion.

and YES, we're METS FANS!!!

Re: ATTENTION: LIW-Sponsored GTG at Shea Stadium -- DEADLINE TO VOTE ON A DATE IS TOMORROW MARCH 15TH!!!

Brad and I are trying to figure out how long it would take to walk from our apartment in Forest Hills to Shea. It takes half an hour on the train b/c there's nothing that goes directly there, but it's only a 10 minute car ride..we refuse to pay the $10 for parking though!

We're really looking forward to the GTG - I just realized that we probably can't make July 16th b/c it's Brad's sister's b-day.

Aw, that's so sweet of you to offer! We actually do want to try and walk there at some point this summer..we both like to walk when it's nice out, and we're curious how long it will take. We absolutely LOVE being so close to Shea! I can't wait to start going to some games this season
