We had our cake tasting yesterday and omg everything we tasted was so good. Allison was super sweet and we put together a gorgeoussss cake. With so many visuals lately I can finally picture what the day is going to be like.

Lol your so funny!! So I was trying not to be the controlling fiancé and I told FH he could pick the inside of the cake since I wanted to design the outside. So like any man he picked 2 flavors that didn't go together, chocolate and cinnamon swirl. I let it go for a day or 2 but went back to Allison yesterday for some red velvet cupcakes and we are now going with red velvet and chocolate with the cream cheese vanilla filling.

Don't know how I missed this thread thus far!!! I can't wait for our one year anniversary to eat our top layer. My MIL froze a portion of their anniversary cake from the sweet peace that we surprised them with at the wedding (they were married the same day 39 years ago, this march will be 40 years!). Anyway she froze a piece of their cake so they could eat it when we eat ours. Well she got hungry a few weeks ago and defrosted her piece and said it was still almost as amazing as it was the day of the wedding. Can't wait for our anniversary!!!!!

For our wedding cake we did two layers of coffee cake, one layer of vanilla cake with Granny's cookie as the filling... sooooo amazing! For the anniversary cake we got my in-laws two layers of chocolate cake, one layer of vanilla marble cake and mocha as the filling.... also amazing!

I had red velvet too! I had two layers of vanilla with a layer of red velvet and we had cookies and cream filling, and grandmas cookie filling.
It was so good. My cousin said it tasted 'like God'. I told Allison afterwards and she was dying laughing.

Is it bad that we took ours out of the freezer and ate it a week later?
We did save a big chunk for our one year, but it was too good to leave in the freezer all by it's lonesome!

what's grandmas cookie filling?? I don't think we had that option?? it's so hard deciding what to put in the dam cake. the outside will be 3 tier round fondant cake, with thin bling bands around the bottom of each tier. the middle tier will be quilted with a fondant bow with blings in the middle. I'm obsessed with the sketch of it lol

My husband didn't have any at the reception. I saved his piece by putting it in a to go container, but his sister took it home for us,and someone ate it in her house.
He had to try it, it was to die for!

Off topic, but, how many people per table does bridgeview have? I'm trying to guesstimate how many centerpieces I'll need? It's been so long since I've been there! The tables are round, right?

They are round, I'm doing 10 at a table but I believe that table can fit 12. Not sure if there is a larger table but I don't think I would want more than 12 at a table

round Tables, 10-12 fit. I fit 12 people at them comfortably.
