Re: Attorney Brides any out there?
Well you already know me
(and I will respond to your FM soon!)
Dealing with wedding and work committments? It is tough. My first few months of the year though are slower, so FH and I are trying to get as much done by May. I fully expect, starting in June, to have no time at all for anything wedding related. That is also why we are having the wedding early next year, because that will give me 6 weeks after Jan 1 to finalize things, and it will be easier to disappear a few days before the wedding and for the HM afterwards.
We also run into problems with vendors who don't want to meet on weekends and expect me to be able to meet at like 6pm out on the Island (what attorney leaves their desk at 5?). So that means that we never even get to meet with certain vendors. I also can't go to many of the bridal showcases because they start so early!

Re: Attorney Brides any out there?
I love this thread!!!!
I think booking so far in advance and using the little breaks in the day to get my mind totally out of the office and on the wedding, bit by bit, is helping my productivity AND making the planning go smoothly. I don't set time aside for wedding planning, I take it wherever it comes, and I have only one thing left to do . . . that approach, and having all the time before next May, has made it a breeze.
In fact, now the problem is that I'm done and afraid I'm going to start adding on details because it's been so much fun . . . and details mean $$$$$. haha
Did I also mention I'm planning my LI wedding from Northern VA, so I definitely feel your pain with vendor meetings. . . . . I've used this site for alot of 'word of mouth' and all my family weddings were on LI, so I stole some vendor ideas from past experience and good reviews. I didn't meet with everyone, I spoke on phone, got pics, etc. emailed . . .
