How does the process work? I call to make an appointment... do they have cakes/fillings available for me to taste? Can I pay for them to prepare a tasting for me?
We've only gone to Audrey's - but Tom was great - he's super helpful, responsive, and very nice. We haven't done the sample tasting cake yet, but I've heard nothing but good things about them. I was going to check out Black Forest, but I think I'd rather a bakery a little closer to my reception (vineyard out east) - less travel for the cake.

I'm using Black Forest. The way he works is to prepare a sample 7 in. cake for you to take home with whatever flavors you want.
I've heard good things about Audrey's too though. I'd call both and schedule a tasting.
