Re: August 2003 Brides
YIPEE!! I've been jealous that we don't have our own thread, too. Here's where I am in my planning:
Reception & ceremony: Sans Souci Band: Hackensack Men Ceremony Music: Janet Knight, Harpist Photographer: Susan Francy Dress: Eva Forsyth from Kleinfeld BM Dresses: Jim Helm (not ordered yet)
I'm working on my Save the Dates and am thinking about registering shortly after Christmas. I'm also thinking about who I should get for hair and make-up. Have your BMs ordered their dresses? I'm thinking about having them order in January. Do you think that's too late?

Re: August 2003 Brides
YEAH!!!!!!!! I was wondering how many August brides are out there
I wanted to get everything booked before the end of the year so hear it goes: Church: St James in Seaford Reception: Terrace on the park in Queens Photos & video:Proline Band: Stan Wiest & 2 greek musicians Flowers: Flower Michele Limo: Allstar Dress: Private label by G Registered: Fortunoff & Macys
I was not going to send save the date cards.....but may reconsider. We had our engagement party in October so most people now know the date.
I will try to order the bridesmaid dresses by Dec/Jan. It is the one thing I am dragging my feet on.

Hi. I'm August 17th. So far I have:
Ceremony & Reception: Vanderbilt Mansion Band: Full House Photo/Video: Imagine Studios Dress: Demitrious from Lillette's Bridal Make-Up: Jaqueline Nicole
I just went to look at BM dresses tonight and have it narrowed down to a few, so I'll be odering them soon. We are having a interfaith ceremony and I'm still looking for a priest and rabbi and I'm getting VERY stresed about this. My next task is finding a florist and I'm goiing to start looking next week.

Re: August 2003 Brides
Hooray, I was worried that my poor post got lost My BMs will be wearing Cranberry. It is my favorite color, and since our wedding is over Labor Day weekend, I figured I did not have to go with a lighter summer color (since Cranberry seems more fall). Has anyone thought about Honeymoons yet? We are going to a travel agent on Sunday. I had heard that the hurricane season is starting right around the end of August in the Carribean, so we are looking at Hawaii and Italy. Where are you ladies thinking of heading?

Re: August 2003 Brides
August 30th! I was a crazed bride this summer and I have most of the major stuff done and now I'm just doing some small stuff here and there. I've taken a short sabbatical from planning but after the holidays I'll be back full force.

Re: August 2003 Brides
The next big thing for us is the honeymoon, and I have to go w. my mom in the next few weeks to find her dress. Any suggestions on a good dress store for mother of the bride? She did not like the ones in the store where I bought my dress...

Re: August 2003 Brides
We need to start working on those things soon too!! We are deciding between two florists and 3 limos. Everything has kind of been put on hold since the holidays are here. After the holidays we must get cracking. The honeymoon is our next big thing too. I'm not sure where my mom will look for a dress. I feel kind of bad for her though because my brother is getting married two months before me so now she need TWO dresses . I'd like to know where she could look too, but nothing to $$$
