I have been calling hotels to reserve a block of rooms and the Hilton just told me that is the same weekend there is a huge Long Island soccer tornement!! I don't know what to do!!! I need a hotel in the western suffolk area!!! Please help!!

I am so glad I read this the other day! I got right on the phone and reserved 6 more rooms at the Marriot (we haved 25 at the castel). Figures the tournament is that weekend! So funny, I used to count down the days to that tournament when I played! Don't they know that is our wedding weekend

I called the Inn at Plainview, soon to be Four Point by Sheraton. They still have rooms available for that weekend. I spoke to Michael and he told me that the tournament is not going to be as big as they are saying. HE has decided not to partake in putting aside rooms for the tournament, leaving more rooms for bridal blocks.

They are a vendor on the site...check them out...Thanks NUTTY!!!!!

It's on the south service road off of the LIE... not too far from the Fox Hollow if you take Jericho up to 110 and then just jump on the service road (although from 110 they'd have to get on the north service road and make a U-turn)... Or, guests could jump on the SOB and take it to the LIE and get right off.

i'm getting married on the 5th and we reserved our rooms in September. there is a tournament--score at the shore and the hotels only released a small # of rooms to block.

the inn at plainview had some--it's a sheraton and is newly renovated. the people there have been helpful. i'm not sure where your hall is located so i don't know where else to suggest. sorry.

to all the Aug. 5 brides. its coming sooo fast right. I thought when we first got engaged I had all the time in the world and now its only 5 months from tomorrow!!!! I feel like I still have so much to do. How are your plans going? And where are you going on your honeymoon?

Have you found a place yet for your other guests. I was able to get rooms at the Inn at Plainview. Check them out. very helpful.

So I saw another hotel on my way home from school last night. It is the Swan View Manor Inn on 25a in Cold Spring Harbor. Not sure if it has rooms available or what price range it is in...but I thought it might help. It has a water view of CSH.

not that this helps, but last year at this time, i was doing the same for hunt. hilton and i was getting married 8/8...early march, they had no rooms!!! i wound up not booking rooms and people did them themselves. oh well. much luck!!!
