I am just beginning to look into colors/flowers/bridesmaids dresses/etc. I was just wondering what other August Brides are using. If you could please share. Post pictures if you have them!
I was thinking about sunflowers. Do you think that would be a good flower for August? But then what color dress? I had my heart set on PINK dresses, but then what flower can I use (besides roses) - would sunflowers go with pink BM dresses?

I chose pink for my bridesmaids. There flowers are different shades of pink roses. The centerpeices are the same. If you look on the post that says 'Lets post pics' you can see a picture of my BM dress.

I am having my bridesmaids where a pale blue, lavender color. The flowers I still havent made my final decision yet.

My bridemaids are wearing celedon, a light green. I haven't gotten to the flowers yet, but they will most likely carry pink roses. I also liked lavendar for dresses, but the green seemed more summery. Since my ceremony is outside (end of August) I also have to consider flowers that will hold up well in the heat.

My bridesmaids are wearing a Victorian Lilac color. It's really pretty. I'm still working on the flowers.

My girls will be wearing cornflower blue. They'll be carrying a combination of yellow and orange roses. It made a lovely combination.
As for the sunflowers with pink dresses, I think that you might have to actually see them in person to see if you like the combo. I didn't think sunflowers were in season in August though.

Im going to jump in here as a July bride, but its close enough right?
I went with a summer garden theme and so the BMs are in celedon...and the jr BMs are in buttercup...FG is in white with buttercup...
their flowers will be white, yellow and green...
the centerpieces will contain all summer flowers

My girls are in Periwinkle. My wedding it this August and believe it or not my flowers are set yet! I think I will make the flowers blue and purple since Periwinkle is a combo of both colors.

This is a mock of what my bo-k will look like, minus the delphinums, add in yellow roses and confetti roses. But you get the idea, this is what my florist calls a composite, when each layer of the bo-k is made up of a different flower.
