August Brides..

What are you working on this week and the next?

Getting married next weekend!

Finishing up favors tonight.
Ceremony write out
Centerpieces this weekend.
Finalize day of and weekend timeline.

Other than taht or minuscule stuff.

Yay August brides!

-- get the marriage license
-- make signature drink signs
-- finish stupid seating charts without killing FILs
-- write out the escort cards
-- figure out which BMs want hair and makeup done and make day-of schedule
-- get hair colored
-- get arms waxed

that's it ... wow, i can't believe the list is so short these days!

-2nd fitting on Sat
-Dropping off pics to the photographer/video with our last payment
-Finishing our 'homework' package for DJ and RH
-Finishing shower thank you cards
-Praying for our responses (due 8/7)
-Finding cake topper

I think that's all but there could be more.

I am getting married in two weeks and I still don't have:
*gifts for the bridal party!!
*something borrowed!!!
*any clue about my hair for the day-of

I also need to:
*pick up the wedding rings
*box up everything that needs to go to the RH
*work on day-of timeline
*figure out transportation
*make escort cards
*figure out packing lists for the week of the wedding and for the honeymoon
*pick up favors
*get all the final payments and tips sorted out
*pick up dress

plus a lot more i am forgetting at this moment

This is what I am hoping to accomplish by Sunday

-Get marriage license tomorrow
-Meeting with DJ tonight
-Meeting with Priest on Sunday and go over ceremony details
-Buy 2nd pair of shoes/flip flops
-Finish Centerpieces
-Finish table #'s
-Finally print pictures for sign in frame and cocktail room
-Schedule hair trial
-Write bridal shower thank you's
-Create signature drinks..

i already chose my drinks - we'll be doing:

* Craig-zy for Coconuts *
1 oz Midori® melon liqueur
1 oz banana liqueur
1 oz Malibu® coconut rum
1 splash 7-Up® soda
Mix ingredients, pour over ice and let chill. Shake, strain and serve.

* Gimme Mor Caramel Apples *
1 oz vodka
1 oz DeKuyper® Sour Apple Pucker schnapps
1 oz butterscotch schnapps
Pour ingredients into a stainless steel shaker over ice. Shake until ice cold, and pour into a chilled stemmed or rocks glass with ice.

Damn I need to come up with something quick before I lose it...

-picking photos for my montage to give to dj
-filling out ppwk for dj
-checking place cards to table chart to make sure all changes are done.
-buying bachelorette party outfit
-bach party on saturday
-doing tip envelopes
-packing up my RH bucket
-packing up my church bucket
-p/u engraved cake server on saturday
-p/u my wedding bands diamond and everyday on saturday.

I cant remember anything else.

I have to

- meet with priest to go over ceremony
- pay final balance to florist and drop off FG baskets today
- final meeting with DJ tomorow
- get stuff to fill OOT bags with
- get baskets for programs and petal cones
- take photo of our dogs for my animal shelter donation card
- blow up picture of dogs and picture of us for card table
- wrap rest of parent/bridal party gifts
- RD Wed night
- Drop off stuff to RH and OOT bags to hotel
- pick up dress & see bouquets next Thursday

- Get married next Friday!!!

My borrowed item is my grandfathers ring its my something blue and something borrowed from my mom. I also feel like a piece of my grandpa is with me on my wedding day.

my grandmother (and rest of my non-immediate family) lives in Israel ... they all could make it except fo rmy grandmother (she's too old to sit on a plane for 12 hours) ... my aunt will be bringing over some of my grandmother's jewelry for me to use (i'll either wear it, or wrap my bouquet with it, or who knows what ... depends what she brings, i guess)

My sister has a beautiful ring that was our great grandmother's wedding ring, I am borrowing it from her. It will be old and borrowed.

My 'borrowed' item is actually a porcelain teapot that I gave FMIL for Christmas the very first year we started dating.

I'll be using that during our tea ceremony.

-Track down a few RSVPs
-Escort Cards
-Finish up seating
-Pack bags
-Go for a last fitting
-Pack up boxes to drop off at the hall
-Finish up hotel boxes
-Go over ceremony stuff
-Clean rings

I know theres more....dont remember

this week i am focusing on packing and moving Sat!! i did finish seating chart and my sister is doing the escort cards for me.

Next week:

We have NO WEDDING RINGS YET!!!!! going to get those on Monday hopefully.
Marriage license
meet with deacon to go over ceremony
meet with dj
talk to Thomas Paul about pictures and everything
bridal party gifts
start getting wine favors labeled and put Jordan Almonds around them
