yay! I love pumpkins! FH and I went pumpkin picking on our first date, and we are getting married in October, I hope to incorporate pumpkins somehow, and yet remain classy...

Re: Autumn Brides
My who was married last october used the gourds that look like small pumpkins and put a taper candle in them. They turned out so nice. I believe they got them in bulk at costco or something.

Re: Autumn Brides
I got married last Oct and we used these beautiful pumpkin coaches as centerpieces. We decorated them with gold organa and fake fall flowers and leaves. They had candles in the middle too. They were a huge hit and came out so great! They were $20 at a local wedding place by me!! It was nice b/c people could take them and they woun't die like flowers. They were really different too. My aunt used hers in her thanksgiving decorated scheme. The only thing is that you should figure out how to decide who gets to take them b/c some people were upset that the one from their table was taken alreday!!

Re: Autumn Brides
mims, I know what you mean about staying classy! I mentioned to my mom I wanted something to do w/pumpkins as my centerpiece and she freaked!! She did not llike the idea of jack-o-laterns as centerpieces, she thought it was tacky! When I found these they were exactly what I wanted...so elegant and the candle light is a romantic effect! I promise to post for you!

That is cute!!!! I too am trying to do a little something with the pumkins- I think I'm borrowing bridetobe's pumkin as the name card holders. It looked adorable- and still classy! I too, was looking to do something yet, stay classy. Oct. 19th here and can't wait!!!

Re: Autumn Brides
For my place cards I did regular ivory cards and printed peoples names on clear labels and stuck them on the cards and got those fabric craft leaves in yellow orange and red and hot glued one to the corner of each place card. It looked really nice, but I burned my fingers a few times!! I'm telling you I really have got to start scanning....my whole wedding was 'autumn' themed, I have to share with you girls!
