Avalon Preserve(Stony Brook Duck Park) vs. Frank Melville Park in Setauket
Hi Ladies...
My e pics are 3 weeks from today.. and I have to call DUET and tell them where to meet us
FH and I have it narrowed down to 2 parks... Avalon Preserve in Stony Brook (also known as the stony brook duck park to many) and Frank Melville Park in Setauket!!!
they each have sooo many things that we love...... I love the labyrinth (stone maze) at the stony brook park.. it's sooo amazingly cool----but it's also a hike up the steps.. into the preserve.... and I am going to be nervous enough as it is that day....... (not to mention im a complete KLUTZ and god help me if I trip up the stairs or something) but it is one of those most AMAZING PARKS....
Then there is the melville park in Setauket..... on a pond..... beautiful bridge.. working watermill.....barn.... etc.
Anyone know anything about these parks and want to offer me a suggestion.. so I can finally call Duet? hehehe Thanks lovely ladies

I don't know the one in Setauket. But the Stony Brook Labrynth should look amazing in a few weeks if the trees ever start sprouting leaves. Have you ever been up to the top? It's gorgeous.

both parks are gorgeous....and will probably be my top 2 choices for pics......at first i was gonna say frank melville, cause its beautiful..but then avalon has a lot of places to take pics..its huge! i would just steer clear of the labirynth..it just seems like any1 who takes pics at that park, always takes pics in that same spot..there are so many other beautiful places to take pics..imo
