What is the aeverage amount of money you girls have spent/ or are spending on flowers? I am trying to get an idea before I speak with florists. HOw much $$$ were your centerpieces? I am so confused!! Thanks in advance!!!

thanks girls.... i just dont know how much a ' normal' budget is... what i was planning on doing was setting a budget and going from there... i thought that finding out how much most people spend on flowers would give me an idea... once i establish a budget i would take it from there, then i would decide which vendors to look at and what centerpieces i would narrow it down to... does that make sense? do most people decide what they want and then spend whatever or do they establish a budget first?

i would need -9 bm bo-q - my bo-q - a bo-q for the blessed mother - corsages (4) - 20 centerpieces ( i prefer high) -9 boutineers

It really depends on how fancy you want to go.. and what your budget is.. I didn't want to go crazy and alot of the florist prices I was getting were through the roof.. i got one for $1000 just for the bridal party then $1900 for something else.. I can't spend that much on flowers.. I finally settled on $350 for the bridal party at a flower outlet store.. (with really nice people who sat down with me for two hours and helped me pick out flowers) the ceterpieces are through our reception hall .. we just upgraded them by $70 for ten talbes.. meaning just $7 a table because the ones they had were really tacky.. My Bouquet is coming out to around $50 .. and thre bridesmaids I think were like $35 .. you can check it out in my album

It depends some people do just get whatever they like and spend however much it is...Others set a budget and work with that and wont go over.
Again, its hard to say an average price when we don't know exactly what you are looking for, such as low or high cp or whatever...If we knew those details then people can say well the average price for those stuff is so and so...But what i can tell you is that the price i see alot of people paid is between 2-4 thousand. Of course theres many who spent alot less and others who spent way more.

It really depends on how many tables you have, how big your bridal party is. I am having a smaller wedding with only 12 tables and I have 4 bridesmaids.
My flower budget will probably be smaller than someone who has 25 tables and 8 bridesmaids.
I want to say the 'norm' is $2-5k.

I plan on spending $1,000-$1,500, but then again, I don't need a lot of flowers (my hall provides votives and hurricane lamps with candles for each table).
I agree with someone else out there that said to have a budget in mind to tell your florist. I think if you need 20 high centerpieces and then bouquets, etc., you'll be over 3K, maybe even 4K. But that doesn't mean that you should high-ball your budget. Low-ball your florist and let them tell YOU if it's doable for your budgeted price. Just because one florist will tell you that it isn't possible, doesn't mean that EVERY florist won't be able to help you for that price.
I would start with Burtons, as I've heard they can work within your budget and get you the more expensive flowers for the same price as other 'cheaper' flowers.

Some of the high centerpieces I saw were beautiful. There was one that I really liked that was $125 -I had 20 tables at my reception, so that was too much $$$$ for me.

Im doing my own centerpieces and ceremony flowers are included at my venue, so with bouquets and the bunches of flowers I am buying for my centerpieces, I was quoted $645 from Burtons.

im spending 2600 for that im getting 20 high center pieces and votives to go with them two alter vases 6 pew bows with flowers, my bo-k 2 moh bo-ks, 3 bm bo-ks, a flowers girl basket with petals, 7 corsages, 12 boutineers, a throw bo-k, cakes flowers, and CP for my mom's house. i'm going with burtons i liked the work they do and they were nice people also they get their flowers wholesale and the price is the same whether i use calla lillies orchids or roses...which was huge b/c im allergic to roses and all these other places kept telling me that orchids and callas or more expensive and we charging me more than $1,200 more!

Mine were about $1100
This included -My BoK and toss away BoK -5 BM BoK -6 corsages -13 boutonniere -2 large altar arrangements -13 low centerpieces -pew bows I think I'm forgetting something, but you get the idea.
