Average Cost??? - DJ & Photographer

I'm in the early stages of planning and I wanted to know what people where paying for their DJs and Photographers. I know packages vary, but any information would be helpful!

Also a poll, do people have a photographer, a videographer or both???

We're paying $6,000 for photgrapher, $2400 for videographer and $1,000 for DJ. I know our photos are a little pricey. I think our video is about average and I know we got a deal on our DJ.

we went with YNOT Productions. they offer 3 differnet packages:
package 1 @ $1,250- 1 emcee, 1 dj, 2 speakers basic sound system and 5 hrs of continuous music.
package 2 @ $1,750- 1 emcee, 1 dj, 2 speakers basic sound system, basic party favors, basic disco lighting and 5 hrs of continuous music.
package 3 @ $2,850- 1 emcee, 1 dj, 4 speakers concert cound system w 1 sound technician, intelligent lighting system w 1 lighting technician, party favors and 5 hr of continuous music.
they also have additional side items.. prices vary from $150 - $1850.
we picked package 2 and negotiated the price to $1500. they were good. a friend had them for their wedding and they did a great job. YNOT kept everyone hyped and ready for more!

the wedding photographer & videographer were from Wedding Group One. they did a great job with our photos. we have yet to see our video.
we payed $4500 (price varies according to the type of album you get).
-10hrs of photo / video.
-12x12 blk leather (soho) album that fits 80 photos
-50 thank you cards
-all proofs (recieved a lil over a thousand photos)
video cost us $1000 - 1 dvd, 2 vhs

they also have additional amenities to which prices will vary. overtime is $275.

We used Marcy Studio and paid $2700 for photography and our DJ was Let Us Entertain You and paid $1400 for them.

Thanks for the info, I new to this and I've only been to one wedding for a distant friend. None of my friends have a clue about any of these things. At least I'll be a pro at it when it's their turn!

In response to the original question, I was going to post what we paid for photog and DJ but then I realized we booked in 2003 so the prices are probably different now. Sorry to be of absolutely no help to anyone but MonkeyLuv...

We paid $5000 for photo and video but got an awesome package...check out
