Average Price of Florist?

I'm planning on starting to look around at florists. I know that the prices can vary a lot based on what type of flowers you get, but I was wondering what the average price is for all the flowes for the wedding day. I would probably have to have 20 centerpieces, my bk, 6 bridesmaid bks, flowers for the church, etc.... Just wondering what I should be prepared to hear.

Thanks!

Re: Average Price of Florist?

well it really depends on what kind of centerpieces you're getting. i'd say centerpieces run on average from 50-150, but can go way higher depending on the type of flowers you get and how many.

Re: Average Price of Florist?

It's so hard to tell you.

you need the following information (but not limited to)

CP:
How many?
type?
flowers/greenary?

Bouquets:
Bride (what size and what flowers and how many)
MOH
BM

Boutonieres:
Again depends on how many and how elaborate they are.

Corsages for MOB, MOG, etc...

Church/RH decorations

Cake decoration, etc

I think you need to pick a couple of places and start getting quotes. That way you will have a better idea of what you want and you can start shopping around and compare places apple to apple.

Re: Average Price of Florist?

Like the other girls said, it depends on what your getting but I can give you an idea of what my quotes have ranged from:
my bo-K: $175 +
bm boK: $65-85
high cp: $110 - 175
low cp: $60-90

I've been asking for a mix of roses, callas, hydrangea and other 'fall' flowers.

Re: Average Price of Florist?

I went to about 5 different places and all gave me a price range from $2,500-$4,300. This is what I told everyone I needed.

Bride Bo-k
5 BM Bo-k
2 FG
5 Corsages
12 Bout
2 Alter Pieces
14 Pew Bows
Blessed Mother Bo-k
2 Single roses for our mom's
23 High CP's
Flower's for the cake

We ended up going with a florist that charge us $3,200 for all of this.

Good Luck!!!

Re: Average Price of Florist?

I went with Atlantic Floral, they are a vendor here. I went there I told Angela (the new owner) that I have a budget $2k and under. She said no problem.

So here's what I'm getting:
7 bo-k's for bm's any color and rose... 24 roses per bo-k

My bridal bo-k

10 bout's

Free:
Jr. Bm's bo-k
FG basket
Decorate the cake
Decorate the serving trays
Includes free votive candles on the table
Decorate the dias (sp)?

3 Altar Baskets

5 corisages for the mom's and grandma's

20 High stand centerpieces with the Gold Brass stands. for the centerpieces... it could be whatever flower/rose I want... I don't have to use anything 'in season'.. then again I'm getting married in March. and the grand total is $2,130.

Re: Average Price of Florist?

definitely check out pedestals florist, and ask to work with rob. he is extremely artistic and will definitely work within your budget, whatever that may be. ironically enough, i refered a friend of mine to him and after seeing two other florists, she booked pedestals on the spot--- her wedding is the same day as yours! but they definitely do more than one wedding in a day so don't worry!

Re: Average Price of Florist?

of all of the vendors i looked at, the price quotes from florists varied the most (from $1300 to $3000+). my suggestion is to go with a smaller shop, where you'll work directly with the designer, thats where i got the best prices and service).

That's what we did. We went with Verbena Design and worked directly with the owner. Only one wedding per day.

Re: Average Price of Florist?

We needed about the same amount of stuff, and got quotes from $2500 to $3800...We did do half high and half low CPs, though...It would've been less if we'd done all low CPs.

Re: Average Price of Florist?

I was recently quoted $1400 and this was the most reasonable quote I have received. I think I am going with this particular florist. Given their repuation as well.
