i think the wedding ring i like is very reasonable, fi thinks it is too high (of course!)
what is the average price of wedding rings? i want diamonds all around or on the top part only.
it's about 1100 for all around and 700-800 for diamonds on top only. i dont want a plain wedding band bc i have a beautiful solitaire that i'd like to dress up w/ a diamond wedding band.

I have a bad ring according to another pos but I love it. Marquise and pear shapes..
My wedding band will have diamonds spread through the band.. low profile. around $900
I can understand your request though.. seems reasonable to me.. if you love it.
FH is going to cost under $500 hehe

We looked last weekend & with platinum bands & bagette/round diamonds on mine (top) he quoted us at $1000. Fi wants some diamonds on his also....$700

where are you guys going for your rings?
i am looking at white gold so that should be cheaper than platinum! the diamonds i want are round. fi wants tiny little diamonds around his band - or maybe just 3 little ones on the brushed chrome look (dull finish).

wow! FH is lucky...our's are a lot cheaper than all of your's so far. mine was about $300 i think and his will be about $100! I'll have to remind him of this!

Xelindra - FH is a mechanic, and he will not be able to wear his ring at work, so he is tattoing the design of the ring (which is actually the design of a tattoo on my back that we designed a long time ago) onto his ring finger. It will be completely covered when the ring is on, but it will show when he is at work!

I had to.... I have known guys that their wives MADE them wear their rings & actually lost their fingers b/c they got caught in moving parts & when doing elecrtical work it conducts the current.
plus... it's my dog leash for life

Jennbaby is right, it all depends on the quality of the diamonds...you could get a huge ring, or a ton of diamonds for almost nothing, but it wouldn't shine.
So, pricing is for a band is really difficult to average. Some ladies want something really extravagent and will spend like $20,000...while others want something simple and will spend $100. It's all about personal preference,.

WillsBellz in my FH & he called his wedding ring a leash.... I wanted to give him a Nasty Look.
BTW, our jewler is in Bethpage & his name is Dennis... I can get you the info tomorrow, I am not near my receipts.
If your solitare is platinum, then you should try to get a platinum band b/c the metals are not the same color, plus White Gold scratches & platinum gets patinas, which just changes the luster of the metal. Over time they will look quite different. JMHO
