Re: Average price of your china

OK. I'm beginning to think we should change ours. It's $109. But it was so hard for us to find one we both liked. We registered for 12. I doubt we'll get that many though.

We did not register as we are inheriting family china but one tip a friend gave me was to consider registering for an extra setting or two. Things break, patterns get dicontinued and if you love love love your china -- always good to have an extra setting or two. ie My sister registered for 14.

good advice Deb - I never thought of this...

I inhereted china as well. There are websites out there where you can find older or discontinued patterns if you need more pieces.

Oh, there is also a store on Jericho Trpk. in the Huntington area that can find old china for you.

Re: Average price of your china

I also registered for 12 place settings.... $89 each. There were some I liked that were more but I didn't want to go overboard. I figured that at the least, if someone wanted to spend under $100... they just might by a place setting.

Mine was just over $100 and I registered for 16 place settings because we both have lots of family.

Here is a picture:

i like the idea of registering for more if you have a large family...it all works out, if you have more to serve you have more folks buying china for you...its a vicious circle! ps. LOVE your pattern hmm8191!!
