My MOM who i haven't had a relationship with in 10 years (i had very bad childhood memories wither her) sent a very nice gift off my registry as a wedding gift - my dad called to tell me it arrived. should I send her thank you with the rest of the wedding thank yous? I don't have her address or anything but can get it from my brothers. the whole thing is weird...

You definatly need to send her a thank you. I'd just do it now and get it over with so you can focus on your wedding.

Re: awkward situation
yes. she sent a gift and a generous (so it seems) one at that. so send a thank you.
unless she like beat like **** out of you or like murdered you dog... a thank you is just that. JUST a thank you. its not like you need to become BFFs with her.

I'd send a thank you card. A generic thank you will suffice.

Re: awkward situation
Do you think she is hoping you will send her a last minute invite to the wedding?
