Awkward Toasts

Any brides out there have some stories about toasts-gone-bad?? My FH asked me to post this hahaha

I cried like a baby during a toast...does that count? My sister lives in NC and delivered a baby girl a week before my wedding and couldn't make it. She made a video to show at the wedding and I bawled my eyes out! Does that count?

my mom, who has no social filter, decided to make an impromptu thank you speech at my shower

it was awkward

she kept rambling and no one would stop her

Last wedding I was at the best man wouldn't shut up...talked for over 20 minutes until he was basically boo-ed off the mic. Then he came back again at the end to finish!

At our engagement party FH and I wanted to give a thank you speech but I hate talking to crowds so he said he would do the talking and I could just stand next to him. Well he thanked everyone and then said he was so lucky to be marrying me..he said a few more things about me and got choked up! I thought it was sweet but I'm sure a lot of people found it awkward!!!!

My sister took all 80's songs and turned it into a speech. She thought it would be funny to say, 'hope Pete doesnt Beat It before going to the Love Shack' In my sisters mind she thought Beat It meant to leave...DH and I and our guests thought of something else.

we had the longest best man speech ever..people were yelling at him to stop and throwing things at him lol..

my fav part is after he has been talking for 5 min straight he goes now to part 2 and the whole place screamed nooooooooooooo

um, our BM started talking about after him and his ex fiance broke up and a night he was really depressed and everything.... got a little awkward.... I thought we were about to pull an Old School....LOL

I went to a wedding for a co worker of FH [he works with the groom]

So this was marriage number 2 for the grooms and the best man groom's brother starts his toast with

'Well we did this once before for ***** and that didn't turn out all that great.....hope this one does'

That is why you don't let the Bestman drink too much before the toast
