I wanted to throw DH a surprise 30th b-day party. Any suggestions on where I can have it? Im looking in Queens, Nassau or the City? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA

What type of place are you looking for? a catering hall type party or more like a restaurant or maybe a bar or lounge, or getting tables at a club?

I really want either a hall or a nice restaurant. I called caffe on the green and terrace on the park and they quoted me about $90 a person. I figured a catering hall would be less expensive since liquor would be included but maybe its not.

If your really not looking to go fancy the place I work at in queens is good ... We fit up to 100 people and we have anywhere from 1-8 parties a weekend. We've done suprise birthday's, communions, showers, christenings sweet 16's, rehersal dinners, etc... it might be something you are interensted in, FM me for more details if your interested....

How about Cavo in Astoria or Novita or Waterzoii in Garden City? Oh Candela or Guastavinos in Manhattan ? good luck.

I am from astoria and i was actually think of cavo, it is a gorgeous place...they wont completely shut down the place for you and have as much privacy as you would at a catering hall but i still think its a great choice, but again depends on what type of party you want and if you want privacy
