Anyone ever been? Looking to go away for the weekend without spending a ton of money. This is where we went for my sister's b-party, but they ended up having a Irish Festival so we spent most of the time there, not sure what else is around.
The hotel we're looking at is on the beach - are there bars around?

honestly i would NOT go there... i went to wild wood a few years ago and its basically a bunch of teens running around like crazies, and most of the hotels are seriously not nice at all.....

Any other Jersey Shore suggestions? I want a laid back atmosphere. It also can't be too expensive to stay...

TONS of bars in Wildwood and they have the boardwalk which is fun - but its kinda like AC, why not go there? the atmosphere is more adult not so much tweeny

I used to go to Cape May/Wildwood Crest as a child and we stopped when it got dirty.....I definitely say go to AC--a lot closer and good hotels, restaurants, clubs AND beaches!
I am booked the Trop for my friend's bachelorette.

wildwood = teen / family central capemay = beautiful bed & breakfasts, bars, restaurants...but IMO its more couple oriented
