B-Pics

Someone was asking on BHB about B-Pics and vendors for it.. now I got to thinking and...

I was thinking about doing B-pics. I was just wondering how common it is? Or if it’s a good idea at all/waste of money? And for those of you who are doing it/did it, did FH know or are you surprising him with it for his Grooms gift?
All opinions welcome! Lol I wanted to do it a whiel ago (before we got engaged i had the idea, but didn't know if I should or not)

I need to get my courage up to go I think!

I am personally doing it for two reasons.

1) As a gift to FH for the wedding.

2) For myself. I am going to (for once in my life) really try and get myself in shape, not just for the wedding, but for myself. I want to be able to look at these pictures after I take them and years later and think 'Damn I look good!'

As for it being common place or a waste of money - I know lots of girls that are doing them but trust me not EVERYONE does them. If you have the money to spend on them, I say go for it if it's something you really want to do. You have to think that apart from the $$ spent on the actually photographer and the album, you also have to factor in the outfits you are going to buy (if you are doing more than one outfit). That could actually wind up costing a bit.

That's a good point about the outfits. I didn't think of that.

honestly - IMO I don't think its a waste of $$ but I have heard some people say that.
I wanted to spend my own $$ and not include it on our budget and surprise him with an album. Adn I said the same thing..when am I ever going to be this in shape again (after i lose my last few lbs) lol and I want to be able to look back adn say the same thing.. Damn I look good! lol Are you surprising him with it or does he know?
I just have to save up a little bit before I go, since I have been funneling all my extra $$ to the wedding fund! lol

he has no idea. Total surprise. My second gift to him is going to be his groom's cake at the wedding. Both are not coming out of the wedding budget - they will be from my own personal savings fund.

I am actually getting them done with my friend who did our E-Pics (see my album). I know she has done 2 B-Pics sessions before and I thought they came out great - plus I know she isn't going to charge me a crazy amount of $$. I also feel more comfortable taking them with her than a stranger.

I've done it before. And it was a bad experience. The woman ripped me off big time!!! I did like how some of my pictures came out, but it was really overpriced!!!

However, I would do it again, but do more research on the photographer and company.


I dont want anyone experiencing what I did!!

The pics came out GREAT! my friend did an E-shoot. she is jsut getting into photography though, and I don't know about going to her for this. She said she would do them though. I jstu like the idea of getting my hair and makeup done beforehand though too I still have to decide on who to go to and i may still go to her instead.
IMO - I think its a great surprise for the guys though! I want to see his face when he sees it! lol I don't know if I will be able to wait until right before the wedding to give it to him!

Oh I am definitely getting makeup done for the shoot. I'm thinking I may schedule a makeup trial for the day of the shoot. Hair I may just do myself.

it's something I wouldn't normally do. It should be fun!

This is going to be part of his gift from me. FH has been asking me to do something like this for a while and i never did. I figured he would enjoy it and i plan on getting one blown up so we can hang it up (of coarse a modest one). I think it has become more popular and there are so many companies that do it now im sure you can get a good rate.

This is like a once in a liftime thing so i figured why not
