Ok first let me say that I am constantly reading the posts over here because even though we are not going to have a baby until after we are married I wouldn't be too upset if there was an opps (even though we really can't afford that ) but thats neither here nor there.
I need some mommy help because i am planning on buying a new car this summer and will be leasing or financing for atleast 4 years so I will definitely have a baby in the car. Does nayone know where I can find info on cars and their safety for babies/car seats etc?
Also the car that I would love to get (scion tc) only comes in a 2 door. Does anyone have a 2 door? and does this drive them crazy having to move the seat??
Thanks so much ladies!!

Re: Babies and cars
mY sil a 2 door and I have heard her say that it is a pain the a$$. We have the chrysler pacifica, it is one of the safest cars and is very comfortable. My friend has the volvo SUV she loves it (also a very safe car), and the audi or BMW station wagon (I had the BMW station wagon and LOVED IT, we are hoping to get another one eventually).

Re: Babies and cars
Here's a site for info on car seafety that you will probably find helpful.
As far as a 2 door car, I would say it would be a major PITA with a baby. I have a friend who had just leased a 2 door when she found out she was preggo. It would have been a huge loss money wise to try to get out of the lease so she lived with it for awhile and she said it was a nightmare. I think it was a Mustang convertible if that is any comparison to the car you are looking at. I havent had the first hand experience with a 2 door car but even certain 4 door cars can be a pain. Since you are checking this info out beforehand, I would definitely talk to more people to get more opinions if this is going to eventually be your baby car.
