baby bjorn question

I have just started using this in the house, trying to get sophia to like it.

My question:

When do you use this on outings? Is it the normal procedure to take her out of the carseat and stick her in there when you have to do something quick? Like stop for coffee, grocery shopping, etc? So you take her out in the car, and load her into the bjorn and off you go? Is that the most common use?

I think the minimum weight is 8 lbs on the bjorn and you should put her facing you until she has head control. After she was 3 months, Lyla only wanted to be facing out, and she enjoyed being in it. DH also used to wear her. She's about 18+ lbs now, so I don't wear her as much. Yes, about taking her out of the carseat, and putting her in the Bjorn. I did this usually when running a quick erand or food shopping. Once you get used to it, it will be a life saver!
