Baby Fever - Long Island Weddings

I think about it and then I remember how much I love to sleep in, stay out late, and have no responsibility, travel, etc.

this! I see babies and get all excited, then I see all of my FH's friends and coworkers complain about the expenses and how they wished they would've waited until after 30... so it's really making we want to work for 3-4 years, travel in the summers, get tenure at my school, then think about having kids!

Baby Fever - Long Island Weddings

I go back and fourth. I want a family one day, but we didn't travel as much as I would have liked to as a couple so I. think let's wait. then I remember that we will be 32 & 34 by the time we get married. abd will turn 33 & 35 shortlyb after. so I'm thinking one year if married life to celebrate abd enjoy life together then time to start trying.....I don't want to be too old that it's too hatd to run around with our kids!!

Baby Fever - Long Island Weddings

See this is part of getting married that freaks me out. I want a family of my own more than anything...one day. But FH and I got engaged at 22, have been together since 18, so I am so used to people thinking we are too young and moving too fast. I still feel like I am a teenager. I can't believe people my age are having babies on purpose hahaha So now that the wedding is approaching, people are saying things to me about having babies and I am always caught off guard! My FMIL said we should get on it!!! It makes me laugh, and makes me happy that people think we would make good parents, but Im always like umm, I need to see the world first haha.

Baby Fever - Long Island Weddings

I think about it from time to time, especially now that the wedding is getting closer. We both want kids, but I've been in grad school for the past 5 years and I finally finish with my doctorate literally one week before the wedding so I want a little time to travel and actually have a life free of schoolwork with FH before the babies come!

Baby Fever - Long Island Weddings

I'm going to be 29 when I get married and plan on waiting at least two years. I want a baby but I also want to spend time being married first because once the baby is born you can't get that time with your husband back.

Re: Baby Fever

I just turned 36 in December and FH will be 40 the month after we get married, so we will def be on the baby train ASAP. Those little punch-out pills, which have been a staple in my bathroom cabinet for over 16 years, will be no more in a 36 days, 7 hours, 7 minutes, and 37 seconds.
To be honest, it does still scare me, even at my age. With regards to sleep, independance, and 'me time,' I can still be a bit selfish (which I actually think is ok - and healthy when held in check). I see my good friends with kids and wonder how they have so much friggin patience! I love my godson (whose 4), but I couldn't imagine taking that bundle of energy home with me!
I take solice in the fact that FH is SUPER patient with kids and just loves the playing, putting toys together, etc. I'll make sure they get tons of love, eat healthy, and stay safe. FH can do the cartoons and hours of putting toys together....while I enjoy a little wine in the tub

Baby Fever

I wouldn't mind being newly pregnant at the wedding. I've done enough living for me in 31 years I'm ready to live for my child.

Baby Fever - Long Island Weddings

Everytime we're out and see a baby I get baby fever! FH and I will be 26 and 25 when we get married and we'll be together 8.5 years at that point. I would love to start right away but will need to see where we both are in our careers first.

Baby Fever - Long Island Weddings

The good thing about doing everything backwards is that we already have a house. We already have a daughter. Neither of us want any more kids as after we're married, it'll be nice to just chill. Yes, sleep and independence and parties and traveling are nice. But, babies are too. The baby part is the easy part, ladies. The bigger the kid, the bigger the problems! But it's aaaallll worth it!!!

Baby Fever - Long Island Weddings

FH is actually the one with baby fever! I work as a nanny and care for a four month old all day since she was 4 weeks so I'm getting the real life experience and FH has NO IDEA how hard it is! I love my job and babies but at this point in my life I'm happy to be able to give that adorable baby back to her mother at the end of the day and not have all the sleep depravation that goes along with it. I can't wait to have a family and intend to start trying day one (honeymoon baby anyone?)! But that day isn't for 2 years and 9 months so we have plenty of time to prepare :)
