Baby Flu Shots?

I just brought the babies in for their 10 month check up (all is well ), and the ped. discussed that infants (6-23 months) are now on the recommended list for flu shots, along with elderly, those with chronic illness and those who work in the medical field. She stated that studies show that when babies get the flu, they get it severely.

Now, I just don't know: They get enough shots as it is (and it's given in 2 doses), they don't go to daycare, we barely leave the house, so they aren't exposed to a large number of people. Yet, I really don't want them to get the flu -- we do see family and friends and all it takes is one sick person to spread it.

Anyone else's ped suggest it? Anyone planning on it? I can't find too much information on it for infants.
