Baby Furn. ?

I guess it's time we make a decision and buy some furniture - I've looked at Buy-Buy Baby, Baby's R Us and Behrs - The only one who had a white distressed crib was Behrs - however, they charged about $100 more for the distressed then a white crib - My question is:
Can anyone think of any other reasonable place for us to look?
Anyone know of any Baby furniture sites?
Any discount baby stores?
The crib at Behr's was $4 somthing - does that sound about right?

Re: Baby Furn. ?

4 something is not too bad to pay for a good crib. There are some at BAbies R us that are more than that and seem WAY overpriced. I like the stuff at Behrs. All seems like great quality. I Wasnt able to find any discount sites, or other stores. You named about the 3 best and only places around...

dont have it delivered, pick it up, that will save you a good $75... (mine was not at the store as promised, so they had to deliver it for free ! )...

Re: Baby Furn. ?

Pottery Barn Kids has some beautiful baby furniture, althought I am not promising resonable cost you might want to take a look.

Re: Baby Furn. ?

I don't know if they have it up there on LI (I live in NC now) but Burlington Coat Factory has it's own baby store called Baby Depot. I'm sure they have reasonable prices. One of the ones I've seen had a pretty big selection.

Edited to say: I found a Baby Depot at Burlington Coat Factory on LI when I looked online: It's at
5500 SUNRISE HIGHWAY
MASSAPEQUA NY 11758-5399 US

Re: Baby Depot

I've been to the Baby Depot in their Manhattan store. The stuff looked good and reasonable.

Re: Baby Depot

I have been to Burlington's Baby Depot - only not in NY, but in CA - and it was very disappointing. I have to say the they selection doesn't even come close to Babies R Us. It's sort of like shopping at Marshall's or TJMaxx - you might find something at a good price, or you might not.

I don't want to discourage you from checking it out, b/c you might hit it on a good day. But, we didn't end up buying anything there.
