Ok lately I don't whats up with me..but i've been getting the 'baby itch' especially when i see other couples with kids! I want to wait a couple of years to have kids after i get married..but i almost feel like i want one now!!!!!!!! do any of you girls feel this way? Its becoming worse everyday!!!

I don't necessarily have the itch yet...we're not financially there yet. I'll be 24 when we get married....I want to start trying when we're like 27 or so. I want one earlier but I'll be trying to start a business and getting to the place where I can not have to work so much.

Im confused also! I will be almost 27 when i get married and then i plan on waiting two years....... i'll be 29!!!!!!!!!!!

lol. I know it sounds bad! I love kids. My niece is the absolute love of my life but Im just not ready. Maybe if I were pursuing a different career, Id be in a different place right now. Im hoping I get itchy 5 years from now. We'll seeeee!

I defintely get bump envious and really wish that we can start now...but we are waiting until after we've been married for a year.....I know that nothing can ever feel like that first year of marriage again, so I want to enjoy every second of it. Babies will come....I want my hubby first!

well, i'm definitely no spring chicken and neither is FH so we dont have too much time to 'waste' and we've already been living together for 2 years
I'm set in my career so no real reason for us to wait - besides, its fun to practice!!

aw, i know how you feel. Everytime we are out and see kids FH tells me he wants one, lol. But we know we are really not ready yet, ideally we would like to have a house before kids, but somehow i dont see it that happening in that order. If it wasnt for financial reasons then it would be different, lol.

it's weird because all through high school and college i was set on NOT having kids. in fact when FH and i started dating we agreed on no children.
Now its like I'm getting married and I want a family. I guess your body just knows when its time
but its scary as hell

i dont really either - once in awhile i think about it and i cant wait but its more out of curiousity of wondering what it would be like to have a family - its more like a fantasy or a daydream - but i dont really want kids yet - i see the effect that they have on people and i am still to selfish - there are so many things that I want to enjoy with FH and my friends before MY life is over because when you have kids you live for them, not yourself - well at least thats what i believe if you are a good parent....and im not ready for that anytime soon.....i def want to be have a nice home and be financially stable on 1 salary and have lived out as many of our dreams as possible....then we can get to babymaking!!

Career first. Then financial stability. Then baby.
That order for me.
I completely agree with you. I wouldn't even think of having a child until I'm financially and mentally ready for one. I have been teaching 6 years and FH has been at his job for 9.5 years. So we' are both financially ready. Next step is buying the house (hopefully within this year) and enjoying the marriage for a little....THEN I want 4 or 5!!!
I say that now... But let's see what I say after having 1..

I agree with you. I'll be 28 when we get married and FH will be 31. I would like to have my first child by the time I'm 30. But that's only because I want like 4 and don't want them all too close together! lol

no but probably because i have one already & know how hard it is even with the help...i had my parents help and FH's help 24/7, and still wanted to pull all my hair out the first few months...oh and i dont want to go through 17 1/2 hours of labor again lol
