Re: Baby itch? no more??????
She goes to bed between 8-10PM ususally wakes one hour after that to have a quick snack then shes out till 6AM usually goes back to sleep till 8AM takes a nap between 10-12 for about an hour another nap between 3-5 for another hour. I just dont fall asleep when she does at night I get MAYBE 6 hours of sleep a day. I tried sleeping when the baby sleeps but I always fall asleep when shes waking up because she takes such short naps!

Just wanted to add that I didn't really mean to say that the pain is 'all in your head.' I meant to say that a lot of it is mental, and there are many techniques out there that can help you get through the pain...However, once you're in labor, I'm sure much of that flies out the window! LOL

Re: Baby itch? no more??????
Melissa no amount of preparing for the pain could prepare you for the pain of childbirth but I must say I never once yelled or screamed. I thought my head was going to spin around like it did on the exorcist but it didnt. I also found that the fast breathing they tell you to do when the contrax get really bad hurt worse than slow even breathing.

I have to agree with KP on the breathing thing...slow and steady was waaaay better than fast breathing...!

Re: Baby itch? no more??????
All I have to say is DRUGS, DRUGS, DRUGS!!!I was induced and I was so happy about getting the pregnancy over with (I HATED being pg) that I didn't care about the pain - I figured how bad can it really be??? I spent way too many hours watching maternity ward and a baby story and I always said that I was going to go through labor with dignity and I wasn't going to scream and yell and be a wimp. Yeah right!!! They gave me pitocin and it was the worst pain imaginable. I definately didn't have any dignity and after about 1 1/2 hours, I asked for an epidural. A half an hour later, it kicked in and I spent the next three hours watching tv, talking on the phone and having a grand old time. I didn't feel a thing. Then it was time to push and it only took me 1/2 hour to get her out. So my labor was 6 hours from start to finish with only 2 really bad hours. I would go through labor a thousand times over before I would do pregnancy again!!!!!

Re: Baby itch? no more??????
pmb...So I'm taking it that your daughter will be an only child. I am one. Don't mind it at all. I did wish I had a brother or sister when I was younger, but now it would have been nice, but my friends became my siblings.
Thanks for sharing. Sorry to hear you had a bad pg expierience.

Re: Baby itch? no more??????
I didn't really have any major problems during my pregnancy, I just hated every minute of it!!! It probably would have been alot easier if I had a better attitude about it but it wasn't planned and I couldn't imagine me and DH having a kid just yet. I think the first pregnancy is definately the hardest because you don't realize how great the reward is at the end. As much as I hated it and dread the thought of getting pregnant again, I will definately have another and this is why.....
