BRU is the only place we've gone so far. I like 'em!

I love the Picture People but they're a lot more expensive. We go to Sears mostly and usually are happy with the pics. I didn't like Target very much.

If you just buy a few sheets of the photos, you can scan and purchase reprints from Shutterfly.com - much cheaper.

None

I still haven't gotten any prof. pics taken of Damien.

But Shutterfly could stay in business from us

Jenn, If you choose Sears, one of my mommy friends works at a local SEars here (in the portrait studio), so you can go in, and not be hassled or feel uncomfortable with the whole sales pitch stuff.

of course even with coupons, I winded up spending WAYYYYYYYYYYYY more than I ever thought...

and think about if you wanna join the memberships that these places have. otherwise you will pay a 'sitting fee'
I think I paid $30 for 2yrs at sears. or the sitting fees are $10 or so?

sorry to ramble

I think theyre all cute those places, so its hard to choose... Ive been wanting to try BRU also.

Here's my experiences so far....

We took Paul's first professional pics at JC Penney's...BIG mistake....we spent a small fortune just to get some pics to give away, only to find out afterward from another family member that Penney's (and Sears) photos are known to yellow over time

So, I have since been frequenting The Picture People. Contrary to what was posted above, the PP do not require you to purchase 'packages.' You have the choice to purchase a full package on a single pose if you want to, but if not, you can just purchase 1 full sheet for $15/sheet...if you have a coupon, they waive the sitting fee AND you get a free 8x10...this way, you can select 2-3 different poses and not break the bank.

The last 2 times I've taken Paul to the PP, I've come home with 3 different poses and only spent $30. Not bad, if you ask me. BUT - I have a scanner AND a SIL who works at EZPrints.

ETA: I've been told that Olan Mills studios are really good too...I think they are in KMart? Or Wal-Mart?
