So I dont know how my grandmother found out that Im even on birth control, but she calls me up last night from Arizona to tell me that she thinks I need to stop taking the pill so that I could have a baby. Ive been married 2 months!! Then she guilt trips me and tells me that shes getting old..... she was half kidding with that thank God. She and I have always been close, but this is too much. Then she tells me that she is sure I am having lots of 'fun' with my hubby because he is a 'handsome guy.' Old people are hilarious!

oh boy... I can sympathize with you! My grandparents were at the point before FH and I got engaged that they were saying, 'We don't even care if you're married, we just want great grandchildren' Can you imagine and old fashioned italian couple ever saying this???? It's not as if I'm the first born or first grand child or anywhere near old maid status, I mean for the love of God, I just turned 30!!!!! They have 4 other grandchildren that are older than me that don't have kids that they don't harrass!!!!! Hang in there, something tells me you'll be getting a lot of this until the 's actually arrive.

My grandfather asked the DJ if he could make a toast at the wedding, unexpectedly. He did it right before the cake cutting.
He spent the entire toast talking about how he wants great grandchildren. It was *very* embarrassing, but in that 'he's old so what can we say' sort of way.
I love my grandfather to pieces, and I want to have great grandchildren for him, but we're just not starting right away. We're not going to change that because of pressure.

ummmmm......yeah my wedding is next July & my father basically told me there is no shame walking down the aisle prego or w/a new born baby..... SERIOUSLY!?!?!?!?!
oh & my dad used that...'I'm getting older and want to be able to play w/my grandchild blah...blah..blah' also, dont fall for it!!!!
Oh and to make the situation even more hilarious, he told FH the same thing. I mean he already has 4 grandsons & 1 grandaughter!!!!! Insane!
