I know that everyone says ...'i just wish for a happy and healthy baby'
BUT, assuming it is happy and healthy, did you or do you have have a preference...boy or girl?

Re: Baby Question
My sister and I are 20 months apart (2 grades in school) and we always got along well. We're not BEST friends, but we know that we're always there for each other when needed.
My parents waited another 7 years to have a 3rd child (accident?!), and had my brother - that kid is the BEST.
FH and I only want 2, but if I DID have 3, I would like the 2 girls, then a boy. My brother is 14 now, and is growing up to be a strong, athletic kid, but very responsible, respectful, caring, and sensitive because he has 3 MOMMIES!!!

I want a daughter. I have a great relationship with my mom and my g-ma and I want to have that with my own daughter. Plus, I would love to have 4 generations of strong women all together and my g-ma isn't getting any younger. So I am hoping this baby is a girl. I would like to have 3 kids so I definitely would like a boy as well but definitely want a daughter in the mix.
you'll find out VERY soon!!! Less than 3 wks to go, right?!
2 weeks from Friday, I am getting so impatient!

I want a boy.
I am kinda nervous abouthaving a girl, because my relationship with my mom is horrible, we don't even speak to each other. I don't want anything like that with my daughter.

It's just the way my mom makes me feel, I would never want that for a daughter of mine.

I would like two girls. I don't have a sister but I have always wanted one. My mom and her sister are super-close, and nearly all of my friends who have sisters are very close with them and have good relationships. Or I would like two boys for the same reason. Then again, one of each would also be fine.
I just know I only want 2.
God Bless you...2 girls
i had a sister and we were crazy!! I never want 2 girls!
Ditto !! I love my brother and we got along soooo well growing up. But he was Mr. Perfect and I always said that if HE was a SISTER I would have hated his guts I never ever longed for a sister, even though most of my girlfriends have sisters .. but its such a love/hate relationship.. I just think 2 girls would make my head spin
But as I've said, I already jinxed myself and DH and I will probably make up for all the boys in the family by having a tribe of girls I just am more of a tomboy by nature so I really always thought boys were more my 'forte' so to speak

Re: Baby Question
I think every man wants a son and I don't think there is anything wrong with that. However, I do not think it is fair to think that a female child is less of a legacy to a man because she may not hold on to her last name forever. Family names don't die. Its family values you have to worry about.

Re: Baby Question
Happy and healthy parts aside, I used to always say I only wanted a boys. After I got pregnant, all I wished for was a girl. I converted DH to wanting a girl and sure enough, we found out it was a boy.
YES I was disappointed, YES I was sad, NO it doesn't mean that I will love my child any less.
It just means that now I might have to seriously consider having more than one child.

Re: Baby Question
I always wanted a boy first. Which I have already. When Bri and I have children I would prefer a boy to protect his little sister if you know what I mean. Teenage boys are bad.

Re: Baby Question
I want boy/girl twins.
If I had to chose one or the other, I would probably want a girl. I know that I am very close with my mother and I have also heard my MIL talk about how she wished she had a daughter. I also think DH might be gentler with a daughter than a son. I think he would push his son to be competitive but treat a daughter like a princess.
