Do you think someone would like if I crochet them a baby blanket? My FH's landlord and coworker is having her second child, I just learned to crochet for my MOH's baby shower. Do you think the landlord would like a baby blanket if I made her one?

In my experience in giving hand made or crocheted gifts - people love it. Especially if there's no one else that would have made them something by hand. And may I suggest you get the little tags they sell in craft stores that say 'made with love' or cute things like that... I always love adding that special little touch!

my great aunt made me a adorable sweater and hat for mt daughter it was by far one of my favorite gifts ... i also got a ton of blankets that one day i will attatch all together for her so she has one big blanket. she still uses the little blankies she loves them and she is 5 now

Someone I work with knitted me a scarf...and I totally love it. I wore it all winter and it is probably something that I never would have bought for myself at a store. I say a handmade blanket is a great gift!

handmade gifts are the best and they are kept long i think because the person knows how much goes into making a blanket

I could teach you. MOH found out I knew how to crochet because I slipped and said something about working on a big blanket for FH - she asked me to teach her. I did, but then told her that she shouldn't make too many, because I had already made her two and was in the process of making a fancy one for the christening.

i think thats a great idea, i have made a BUNCH! they have an amazing pattern at ACMoore if you buy the 'bundle of joy' i think its called - its a lb of yarn and they have a great patten that is a baby blanket with the hood - LOVE it and it was really easy to attach the piece to make the hood

I think that would be awesome! My sister had a baby in August and a couple of people made her GORGEOUS baby blankets. She loved them!
