This is normal, right? I can't really explain it except that the movements have become less of a rolling around kind of feeling and more just like pushing and prodding. Maybe she's running out of room? (it looks like she could be...)
I hesitate to say that they almost hurt sometimes... It feels more like poking than it did before and some of it is so strong and sudden. It actually catches me off guard. I also noticed that they are slowing down some. It's not as often as it used to be. I hope everything is okay....

Re: baby's movements feel different.
Jenny, from what I remember that all sounds normal - she's probably running out of space like you said. I remember limbs poking out of me!! And sometimes they did almost hurt!! Enjoy these feelings!! It is such a miracle - as long as you are feeling movement on a regular basis I wouldn't worry. But if it slows down a lot, just call your dr. to check in.

Jenny the end is really uncomfortable. It does sound normal but always call your Dr. if you feel uneasy, better safe than sorry

Sounds normal because I am going through the same thing. I would tell hubby that his baby is hurting me.

I feel like I live in the Allien scene when the thing pops out of the guy's stomach! So yes, as the baby grows the movements change and get stronger. Very normal!

Hahahaha Michele.. I felt the same way!!!!! (I thought it was jsut me!) Sudden or strong pokes and jumps and kicks are all normal, but i agree with everyone else who said if it slows, or becomes incredibly painful, call your Dr.! Enjoy them!!

I've noticed a change too... the way that it feels to me is like those massage chairs at the Sharper Image. She feels like she's' pressing some part of her body around my belly button and at the same time something else is happening on either my right or left side...
It freaks out my DH... and me too when I have my hand resting there... But she does hurt me sometimes too... but it's okay... it must be so cramped in there for her...

ALL completely normal, Mia sticks her hiney in the air when she is sleepy and I can swear she did the same exact thing in my belly!

Re: baby's movements feel different.
I was sitting at a restaurant and my stomach jolted so much with a kick that the people sitting at the table next to us saw it. What you are feeling is so totally normal. By the last month I was able to determine what body parts were moving around by feeling them through my stomach.
