I second this...I used to babysit for filthy-rich people in the city while in college (appx 8 yrs ago) and got paid $8 for 1 child which was dirt cheap. But for 3 kids, walking distance from your house...I would say $15 an hour (minimum)...Good Luck!

i think 12-15..but i would think more like 12

I did this last year to help with money..I would shoot for 15. If she is not able to do that go with no less than $12. regular kids these days get about 10 dollars so certified teachers should get way more.

I babysit all the time! I am an early childhood major, so I actually have fun doing so. I generally charge $10 an hour..but in extreme cases where I know the kids misbehave, I charge $12-15. For the most part when I sit, we do homework, and I put them to bed, I feel as if I am robbing the parents if I ask for anymore, I am just watching tv, and getting paid for it
