My MOH asked me who I wanted to invite to the b-party, and she seems annoyed that it's more than just the 'maids. i felt like since everyone would be chipping in it's not like I'm saddling her with extra expense. I figured that it was just a matter or a few more e-mails. I know I've been to bachelorette festivities when I wasn't in the wedding party, so it seemed normal to me, but am I wrong?
originally i was only going to have my BM and MOH. Then i was invited to my friends BP so i invited her. Then a few friends of mine said ' oh i cant wait for your bachelorette party' so then i leaned towards, the more the merrier. Like you said everyone is supposed to chip in for themselves.
i am doing just my bridal party but including me that is 7 - my parents are renting the limo so i don't want to pay more for a bigger limo for the day - plus my bridal party does not all know each other so it will give them a chance to get to know each other so they will have more fun at the wedding
I always thought it was supposed to be the BP and other girlfriends too. I thought I was odd in that I am probably only having a few other girls besides my BP, since I don't have all that many girly friends.
at my friends BP last summer... i was in the wedding... but there were a few girls there who weren't in the wedding... each girl paid her own way and we each chipped in for a hotel room and pizza and each bought a drink or 2 for the the bride... it wasn't like the shower where the BMs paid for it all...
Since I'm only having a MOH, I invited my local girl friends and my sisters 2 best friends. We're doing a spa day and thought that everyone could have some fun and relaxation. We will then go out for dinner afterwards somewhere nice.
I have been to 6 bachelorette party's and everyone had both bridesmaids and nonbridesmaid. However, there's no rule to that. I am having both my bridesmaids and other friends but then the day before the wedding, i plan to take the bridesmaid only to a nice lunch.
