Bachelor Party

Re: Bachelor Party

WOW! I was seriously about to post the SAME thing! My FH is suppose to leave tomorrow morning for Oceancity, Maryland with his friends- BUT- they think its really cool to 'kidnap' him by surprise and drive down TONIGHT so I've had to keep quiet about this and know its actually 3 nights NOT 2....

I trust FH SO much but some of his friends are insane and only 1 of the 15 guys going is engaged- all the rest are single/dating and you know single guys have such a different mentality!!! His BM BOUGHT a mini van so the drive down could be a party (i know the driver wont drink) but I think its dumb for anyone to drink in the back while driving down (which is also illegal)

I CANT WAIT FOR THIS WEEKEND TO BE OVER!!

I hate to be a worrying freak but seriously these things have gotten out of hand- when did a party turn into a loooong weekend?!?!

I miss him already!

I think eveeyone can relate to how you feel. Sometimes I think I put ideas into my own head lol. We arent doing anything out of NY but just the concept can make you stress about it. At least he is there already and will be back in 3 days .... the sooner they leave the sooner they come back. Hang in there, You will get through it!!

It is totally normal for you to feel this way in my opinion. I would be the same. If I were you I would just sit back and try (haha easier said than done) to relax a bit. He will be home and he loves you. Keep your chin up.

My 2 much older brothers are in the BP, so hopefully they will be going to this Bachelor Party and helping to keep things under control.

Nono jk. I trust FH; I think his friends are generally good guys and would not be forcing him into doing anything explicit. I think my Bparty will probably be the wilder of the two. I think it's the OTHER girls who will be wandering around drunk that I don't trust. I know FH wouldn't do something, I know his friends wouldn't ask him too, but I get ill at the thought of some drunk tramps trying to hit on him.

Wow...I think everyone feels at least a little bit uneasy about the B party, esp if its a trip away. The B Party has a bad rep... You're not being irrational though.

Re: Bachelor Party

Our B parties are a ways away but i feel the same way already!! i know he doesn't drink much, has never drank too much around me, but i know when he's been out with the boys...

what makes me even more upset is he was saying 'i think we are just going to do a weekend away somewhere with a beach' for his bparty (he has more single friends) but i know i don't have friends that can/would get off and do this for me. so i get a night in the city and he gets three or four days in florida. greeaatt.

don't worry though it will be over soon!.. what are you doing for yours?

dont worry... if you havent been, OC is harmless... its not like there are strip clubs in the main part of town... and theres really no reason to leave the main strip... im going there for mine next month... my fh is going to montreal... theres about 5 strip clubs on every block up there LOL

Re: Bachelor Party

YOu girls need to set a standard for yourself! There is no reason your guys should be going on these extravagant crazy trips for their bachelor party nor have strippers and all that crazy nonsense. It is like saying its ok the night before we get married to have your last day of cheating cause that is basically what happens at a strip club your guys are getting lap dances and having a woman on them say what you want but it is cheating. Ofcourse they are not going actually tell you what went on. If you set a standard and do not tolerate it it would not happen. If your guy really loves you he would not be going. It is not necessary.

So FH left this morning for his bachelor party. He is in cancun till sunday. I hate the whole concept and I am struggling a little today. Anyone else feel uneasy about the bachelor party thing?

PS - before anyone called me irrational....i already know this and I sent FH off with a smile and told him to have the best time. But I can't change my feelings about the idea.

I agree 110% with you. I am uneasy in general about bachelor parties...As soon as we got engaged I felt like I'm dreading that whole thing..I feel like the alcohol & the single guys around them is what freaks us out the most. You just have to try to remind yourself that he is his own person & makes his own decisions. But I definitely see why you are upset..I freak out a little when I know FH is at a bar without me... he just moved out of his apartment with his friends & in with me so they all went out...not that I don't trust him but I'm always like I don't know that some drunken **** won't be falling all over him..& I was like a raging lunatic one night becasue he was out & I didn't hear from him for a little bit..but I got through it...this is when we all have to have faith in out relationships. It's easier said than done...but I'm not gonna lie I wouldn't be ok with them all going away for a weekend like this..his friends are always a mess when they drink & half the time don't even know what's going on! I'm not saying he isn't going to do it but it really would upset me & I wouldn't be all happy about it...& I'd make sure he knew it....just stay strong keep yourself & busy..go out with your girlfriends like some of the other girls said & before you know it you will be home & it will be that much closer to your special day together!!!

Re: Bachelor Party

i understand wehre youre coming from, but IMO if a man is cheater and if he will cheat , he doesnt need a new setting to cheat. he will cheat at home, away, close by, etc.

I agree. If he's a cheater, he will cheat at any setting. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. Are his friends the type to pressure him to do things?

Maybe I'm crazy, but I actually booked My husbands bachelor party. They were originally going on a paint ball trip and I thought it would be nice to take him to a strip club instead. You see, he's just not into those things, and could care less for them. But I wanted him to do something different with his friends. I dropped him off at the strip club and came to get him that night . I was not worried about anything happening. If anything, at the end of the night he said 'Strip clubs are disgusting and don't know what men see in it.' I know he will never go back to one. The night was all about him having a good time with his friends, and he sure did. He did not fall into temptation.

Try not to put to much thought into it. I know Cancun is full of temptation, but hey, if he falls into it, wouldn't you rather know now? Try to stay positive.

I sent my DH off and didnt think twice about it. I trust him no matter who he is with and what they are doing. I could care less if they went to 20 strip clubs and got lap dances all night long.

I have complete and utter trust in him......
