Bachelor Party Date Fight

Bachelor Party Date Fight

Here is the situation! We are having the Jack/Jill Shower the week before the wedding, because we have a lot of OOT guests that can only fly in for one week. So I figured we could have the shower and then after the shower the girls and guys would go their seperate ways to the bachelor/ette parties. So my FH said from the beginning that he wants to have the bachelor party about a month or 2 ahead, which I think is ridiculous. SO a couple of weeks ago we were at a famiy party and my cousin asked FH when the bachelor party was? When FH told him he would like to do it sometime in late january/early February even my cousin said that is crazy and agreed with my idea. So FH said, Ok that does make more sense. So we agreed, or so I thought. This Friday he goes out with his buddies (who I do not care for whatsoever, really shady guys) and then when he comes home and we were talking about the night he said that they discussed the bachelor party and said that it is going to be the 1st week of February and that because it is his bachelor party he should be able to decide when it is. Am I wrong to be mad with him about this or am I overreacting!!??

u have a right to be annoyed but at this point..hes going to do what he wants and its not something u should fight about. its just a 1 night outing.

sorry, but i kinda of agree with him. i don't see what is wrong with him having his bachelor party in February if thats when him and all his groomsmen wanna do it. A lot of people do their bachelor/bachelorette parties a month or so before the wedding.

I wouldn't worry about it and let them do his bachelor party when they want and u do ur b-party whenever u want.

Honestly...if that's when he wants to do it, then let him do it then. Either he'll realize that it'll mean excluding people he wants there or he won't care...but IA that its his party so he should be able to have it when he wants.

Sorry!

honestly, i think your over-reacting....let him have it when he wants, the date shouldn't matter.

I kinda agree with him... if i was him id be feeling the same way... its my bparty why cant i decide when it i?... but ont he other hand if you agreed or at least discussed it and he changed the plans on you i would be pissed too... but like barb said, its not worth it to get into a fight over it at this point...

as far as the shady guys go, they will probably be there no matter when he has it...

If it makes you feel any better FH and groomsmen are in the process of planning his for december (yes just 2 months from right now) and we are getting married in June. I don't think it really matters when it happens. Its hard to coordinate alot of people's schedules!

Whenever someone I knew had a bachelor party, it was always at least a month before the wedding. I don't think it's a big deal. JMO.

Let him do what he wants and you do what you want. There's no way of winning this one. Just make it very well known that when its time for yours you better not hear any grief...

I prefer them a month or two before... mine is almost 2 months before the wedding

But what is going to happen is that it will not ba 1-night thing. But it won't be. Because his OOT cousins are going to then want to go out the night of the shower for another bachelor party because they missed the first one. So when I asked FH what he was going to do, he said then he will just have another bachelor party that night too!!

I totally understand why ur annoyed at his idea, but like the other girls said: let him do what he wants to do- if he ends up having two bachelor parties, so be it...it's not worth getting into a fight over it.

I understand that you're upset because you felt like you discussed it and then he changed it! yeah, that is annoying but don't fight over it. I don't think it is worth getting into a big argument over BUT i do understand where you are coming from.
