Bachelorett party drama...already!

Bachelorett party drama...already!

My moh (sis) lives in Idaho and the rest of my bridal party lives in NY. I am one of the last of my friends to get married and a few of my friends have children already. If I truely want to go away is it fair of me? One of my bridesmaid is making me feel like crap because she says im not being understanding of her situation when in fact Im honestly ok if she cant make it. She is making more of a deal of it than I am. She is still going to do something for me here for those of who cannot make it to Vegas. Isnt the bachelorette day/weekend supposed to be a surprise and the bride isnt supposed to have anything to do with it. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Personally, I feel like it is a lot to ask your BP to go to Vegas for the bachelorette party. The BP already has a huge financial obligation (dress, shoes, hair & makeup, shower, and gifts) and a weekend in Vegas is not cheap. I know I would be upset if my close friend told me they didn't care if I was with her for her bacholorette party.

Maybe u could go 2 Atlantic City or Mohegan SUn as a compromise? Every1 is different----some people plan their own BP, others want 2 b suprised. Don't stress, I'm sure you'll have fun no matter where u go.

I had my bachelorette party in Vegas and one of the 5 bridesmaids (the one who lives in Florida) didn't come with us. It's okay, we had fun anyway.

If you want to go away....then you should...but please keep in mind that a trip to Las Vegas can be expensive....so discuss with your MOH (sis) and bridesmaids....and see what they say....if worse comes to worse...you can go to A.C....(which is a lot of fun..when planned right...do some research..)

I myself planned by bachelorette party...made invitations, party favors and everything...I wanted to do this.......it was a lot of fun...

Good Luck.

Well, here is the situation...I was asked what I would want to do and I didnt care whether it was away or in NYC. My bridal party (all but 1)decided that Vegas would be a fun place to go. If it was up to me I wouldnt know what was going on until the time came.

i think it's okay bc you're planning to do something here too. maybe that could be a surprise, and you could just coordinate a getaway to vegas for people who can afford to go.

I'm with everybody else on this one. While your BM's should try their best to make your BP as fun for you as possible, not everyone can afford to go away. Your best bet would be to try and plan a weekend getaway with whoever can afford to go and not label it as a 'Bachelorette Party'. This way no one feels left out. Then have something at home where everyone can be involved.
I myself will probably do the same thing. I would love to spend a weekend in South Beach, but I dont want to impose that on everyone so I will offer it up to anyone who can and wants to and have my BP here.

Good Luck and try not to get too upset.

Are you saying that your friend is not being considerate because you have all done a lot for all the other friends weddings including hers?

if u want to do vegas then go for it..but just be preprared if people can't come. You do have to understand that 1) these women are married already, some with children - so they might not be able to go, and their spouses may not be thrilled with them going. and 2) It's financially going to be a lot. If it's way ahead of time (like months or close to a year) and people have time to save then it's probably going to be easier...but if it's coming up it's understandable.

so ANYWAYS, of course it's ur bachlorette party and u want it to be special. i originally wanted to do foxwoods or mohegan sun but it didn't work out...but honestly? It worked out & besides our wedding it was probably one of the best weekends of my life! Everything will be fine and u will have fun no matter what!. And no, mine wasn't a suprise. I was fully involved with MOH with the planning. anyways, good luck!
