Bachelorette Party

SO...i'm the maid of honor for my best friends wedding coming up this May and i'm in the process of throwing her bachelorette party. I'M SO STRESSED!
I'm still planning her bridal shower for March 24th and none of the bridesmaids are helping me at all, if fact, they are all giving me a hard time...just soooo many issues.
Anyway...her fiance is going to VEGAS for his bachelor party so she wants to go away the same time for the whole weekend! Her fiance even called me yesterday to make sure I am taking her AWAY for the weekend and not staying local! That really PISSED me off! She's MY best friend and i'm trying to do everything I can to make ALL her parties great by MYSELF! What does he think...i'm going to do nothing for her?!?!?!
I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!
There are like 12 girls going...I have to book a hotel (i'm not made of money.) I don't know what makes a good bachelorette party. Just sooooo many things Im stressed about!!! AHHHHH
Ok...I just needed to VENT!

AND on top of everything I am just starting to plan my own wedding!

Check out Norweigan Cruise Line (I think its www.ncl.com)

Is your friend in NY? If so, you can take one right out of NY for the night. I think it starts at $199/person (and thats for a room that holds 4 people...? )

Check out their site and see what you can find.

Someone on here said it was a blast!

hmm...maybe if you book a murder mystery dinner or comedy club or something like that -- it may be fun.

Where in cali are you? What if you did a napa valley wine tastingand stayed in san fran for the weekend. What about LA or Vegas too. We are proably going to a joint Vegas Bachelor/Bacheorette party next year for our friends wedding. I think you really need to know what everyone else is planning on spending on this trip--you don't want to make all these plans and tehn people start backing out and you are left spendign all this money. Also I think that you should email everyone and see if someone wants to help you plan even if she isn't a BM and get ideas. GOOD LUCK
