bachelorette party???

Just a quick question-I sent out an evite to my close friends for my bachelorette party. (I only invited my close friends because I wanted to have a small party) Well one of my close friends, responds back that she is bringing a friend with her-someone that I do not know...what should I do??

What would you all do??

Re: bachelorette party???

I would just explain that you were hoping to have this with ONLY your close friends.......I would hope that she would totally understand being that she is a friend

Good Luck!

Does she know any of your other friends? Maybe she's afraid she will feel left out! It depends on how much it matters to you. If you feel like you left other people out to keep it close knit then tell her that. If she's that close of a friend she will understand.

I think that you should tell her that you wanted to keep it small and only have close friends come and if she were to bring her friend then a lot of other people will be offended.

I think it depends... does your friend know all the other girls coming? I just let my sister and FSIL bring friends since they don't know my friends well. This way I didn't feel like I had to keep them entertained all night. Either that or just tell her you wanted to do something small.

She does know the other girls, so that is not the issue. I am thinking that maybe she doesn't want to travel into the city alone, I guess I can ask her. Thanks!!!

I would say no, its for ONLY very close friends and you want to feel 100% comfortable.

she should understand..

If she knows everyone else ask her to come alone then. If you think she doesn't like traveling ask her to sleep over or something.

Well I say the more the merrier, but if you would feel uncomfortable with her bringing a friend then say so. You want it kept small and just the usual crowd.

i would ask her politely not to bring and explain why.

Evites have that '+1' option though...maybe she just misunderstood and thought it would be okay if she brought someone...

Re: bachelorette party???

I would be honest with her like the other ladies suggested. I would try explain her you that only want your closest friends there. So if she brought a friend (someone that you don't really know), other people who you are friendly with that you did not invite would be offended.
Good luck.

first of all its YOUR party.. thats very rude of her to invite others. I would say no!

I would usually say the more the merrier, but considering you wanted it to be a more intimate affair with your close friends that's quite rude and presumptuous of her. Since she knows everyone, she shouldn't feel uncomfortable so maybe it's a travel issue. Talk to her about it.

Re: bachelorette party???

I only wanted the MOH and BM's at the bachelorette party. I even heard that one of our reader's (female friend of FH) was offended that she's not invited. We are not doing the party thing...we are doing a spa during the day, dinner and a comedy club at night. I really wanted just 'us girls.' Listen we have to be accomodating to sooo many people for our weddings I think you should at least be able to be selfish/selective with your bach party. JMO

Let me ask one question....does this girl that invited a friend know other girls going other than you? Maybe she wants to bring her bc she doesn't know anyone else???

I would let her know that you wanted to keep things small. She should be considerate of that.

Just let her know that it is only for a select few.

I would just explain to her that you only wanted your close friends there and tell her how you feel if she brought the other friend along. I am sure your friend will understand..good luck..let us know what happens
