What are you doing for your bachelorette party, or at least what would you want to do...
what are your thoughts on going away? Is it bad to make your BM's and friends pay that much to go away?
I am trying to throw my MOH some ideas of what I would like to do. Would I like to go away? Of course! but I know that when i am in a BP I wouldn't want to pay to go away since I have so much that I need to pay for otherwise, so i feel it's not fair for me to make people go away. Then there is AC...which away but no plane...but is that just forcing the issue? Would a really great night in NYC best? HELP! lol I know i have time but my MOH wrote me which got me thinking....

Re: bachelorette party
some ppl actually want to go away, for example i would love to go away for a friends bachelorette party, i know ppl who do a couple vacations a year so it would not be a problem, but you know your BP best...i would say figure out if they would like this or not or have your MOH bring it up to them to see how they feel about it.
In NYC, you can maybe do dinner, then go out to bars or clubs...You can maybe even do a spa thing then go out at night, some get rooms in the city so this way theyll do things earlier in the day then go to the room and start drinking and hanging out then go out

Re: bachelorette party
I really want to go away bec I dont do that often with friends. FH wants to stay in NY but I want to go to Amsterdam. If I end up going there then I would love to do a Jack and Jill with everyone. I think everyone will enjoy that. And its prob the same distance to Vegas, which I can pass on

Re: bachelorette party
I made it really clear that whatever they decide to do, I don't want it to cost a lot...I'd like to just hang out with the girls at mine, or a friends apartment... I'd like to go do a spa day... I think what they're planning is a spa day, apps and drinks at the apt. of two of my BMs, (they live together) and then out for karaoke somewhere...as long as I can have some wine...and not have to drive, I'm good to go...I just don't want it to put anyone else out...

Re: bachelorette party
I think thats a nice gesture...I am like that through most of the process worrying about the cost of others which i think a lot of brides forget...then I wonder...will my friends do that for me?

Re: bachelorette party
I'm probably going to do an 'activity' of some sort during the day (not sure what- something girly / active). Then go to dinner in the city at night and then for those who want to stay- go out after to a lounge....
I think it's asking a lot to go away. But as a few people have said- it depends on your situation w/ BM's and close friends. If you know people are going to be fine w/ spending a few hundred $$$- go for it! I know some people don't have a shower & then go all out for bachelorette. To have eparty, shower, go away bach party, wedding gift... I think it's a lot to ask of people... JMO

Re: bachelorette party
Not sure yet- I am looking for something thats not that expensive so that everyone can come too- I would have loved to do AC for the weekend- but my friend just did that last year for hers- so anyone has anything original and fun (and cheap lol) would love to hear!

I think FH might be going to Belmont to start off his Bachelor party... Might be something to think about if you are close in LI...

Re: bachelorette party
My bachelorette party is probably going to be more relaxing than anything else lol I would like to go out east for some wine tasting (yummmmm) and then hit up a spa for some massages and mani/pedi..then get ready and head out for a nice dinner and drinks, then maybe hit up a small bar or lounge or something. I'm not into the whole club, party scene anymore.
