I went to Providence in NYC. We had a great dinner and wine upstairs in the resturant and then went dancing at the club downstairs - very fun and classy! Wine, champagne -- that kind of thing!
No naked guys and we got a a table and we weren't bothered by any shiiiit heads either!

Re: Bachelorette Party
We went to Hershey Spa this past weekend for mine....it was very pricey but it was peak season (it's discounted in the winter months).....EVERYONE loved it and we definitely got our money's worth over the course of the 3 days we were there. I highly recommend doing a spa!!!!

Re: Bachelorette Party
This may sound a little childish but I like to bake. There is a place in NY city It's called something like cookies and milk where you can have a bake your own cookie party, or they have a few other ones like cookie decorating and cupcakes too. Then you can do something else in the city as well, maybe dinner?
There are also poll dancing classes or other types of dancing that the do for batchelorette parties. I went to a poll dancing and belly dancing party and it was definitely fun and a work out as well. Again, this was in the city and we went for dinner and drinks too.
One other person I know went to atlantic city, I couldn't go but they said they had a blast. It was $$$$ though.

Re: Bachelorette Party
how about renting a hotel room and having an old fashion slumber party with ice breakers and games for all your girls to bond.
or taking up a class of some sort (pottery, cooking, dancing)
good luck!

Re: Bachelorette Party
we went to Little italy, it was so much fun...people were calling out good luck when we walked down the street, a whole sedan of middle aged guys tried to convince me not to get married, we had really great gelato. I am not a big drinker, so it was perfect.

Re: Bachelorette Party
I've heard good things about lucky chengs. never been but sounds like fun.
the wine tasting is a great deal. from queens $75 for limo +/- for each girl depending on how many + $4-$5 flights at the vineyards.
Total about $100 and it's for the whole day. My friend did one. Luv it.
If you want to go for a short stay that's not too far Ocean palace in Jersey has a beach area. it's not as pricey as AC or hamptons and you can still get away. (just got on their website and they have a package for bachlorette parties)
The cruises around manhattan are fun, but depends on the crowd you sail with. they're pretty cheap $30-$100(but it's been a while for me) and there are tons of party organizers that would hook you up b/c it's all girls. if you need one i'll send you his info. you get dinner sometimes, dancing and great views of sunset around the city and statue of liberty if you'd like some nice shots.
we did my sister's at cavo in astoria. i always have fun there. my other sister's we did in LI at another restaurant that turns into a club. I love that idea b/c it's close, less expensive, and one-stop so you guys can enjoy and not run around all night. although, a pub crawl is always my idea of a good time.
the seaport is also fun some nights. i've been there with some friends and there's dancing outside, places to eat etc.. recently i went to Sol on 29th but i thought it was a little crazy in there, danced a lot though.
smith street also has lots of good places. light dinners and good bars!

I'm 30 and I hear what you are saying. Although it soudns entirely cheesy I think we are going to end up going to the Awesome 80's prom. It sounds kinds fun and cheesy if you like the 80's. Probably go out to dinner first then in NYC then go there. Its an interactive play (off broadway). Most people come dressed up in 80's prom dresses... and just some silly fun.
If we dont end up doing that we may just go out to dinner in NYC get a hotel room and probably hit a spa for some pampering.
I'm with you, I'm 35 actually and the 80's prom is what I'm hoping we do! I heard they do it at Webster Hall, is that true?

Re: Bachelorette Party
My sister is throwing me a 'Whine and Cheese Roast'. A bunch of us gals getting together with about 10 different types of wine and a spead of food and they are going to 'Roast' me....as if I was a celebrity. We are doing it in my sister's backyard. I requested no strippers and no plastic pe nis' no matter what.

Lucky Chengs in NYC....its the drag queen show, yes they do strip but its more fun. Its not like going to Chip n Dales. I believe its like $30 for food and open bar.
OMG..i really hated Lucky Chengs more than anything i've ever been to in my life! It grossed me out and the food was nasty!

I too think we are going to the Awesome 80's Prom, I am 31 and can't get drunk like I used to. It takes me way too long to recover these days

I went to a body shop (the store in the mall) party the other night. And am thinking of doing that for my bachelorette party.
