Bachelorette Party

ok..i am 31 and have absolutely no desire to see hald naked people girating on a stage nor do I have the desire to get drunk til I can't stand up. Those days are long gone for me. I have found the man of my dreams and don't want the typical bachelorette party that involves chasing men and doing tasks.... With that said....any ideas on what to do with my girls....something that isnt' gonna break their banks yet will give us some time to hang and enjoy our time together...any ideas are welcome..I have time to consider...wedding is in February..thanks ladies!

What about a day at the spa, or a dinner and a show? Or, one of those dinners that are a show (Tony and Tina's). One of FH's friends' wife did a scavenger hunt in the city and said it was so much fun!

Lucky Chengs in NYC....its the drag queen show, yes they do strip but its more fun. Its not like going to Chip n Dales. I believe its like $30 for food and open bar.

A friend of mine had hers at Sandalwood Day Spa .

She said that they got a lot for their money. I'm thinking of doing this for a bridal party I'm in. I have to make the call and find out more information though.

I'm 30 and I hear what you are saying. Although it soudns entirely cheesy I think we are going to end up going to the Awesome 80's prom. It sounds kinds fun and cheesy if you like the 80's. Probably go out to dinner first then in NYC then go there. Its an interactive play (off broadway). Most people come dressed up in 80's prom dresses... and just some silly fun.

If we dont end up doing that we may just go out to dinner in NYC get a hotel room and probably hit a spa for some pampering.

Re: Bachelorette Party

For my friend's bachelorette party this past Saturday there was none of that. The girls just went to lunch and then back to her place for some champagne, wine and cheese. We all met at Agave (Mexican restaurant in the West Village) and then out dancing. It was really just girl bonding and didn't involve guys at all. I guess I am trying to say you can still go out on the town and not have it revolve around chasing guys and doing tasks. I wouldn't want any of that either!

I am so with you on not wanting the whole stripper bit! I told my girls I'd like to go to a spa and definitely dinner (I LOVE TO EAT!!!). I think that a drag queen show/restaurant would be fun

Re: Bachelorette Party

i definitely did not want to see naked gay men dancing for my bachelorette party. We just went to a club called Providence and had a great time!!! It was just a good old girls night out and exactly what I wanted. Nor did it break the bank!

My sister in law/MOH did the same thing for ours at Sandelwood Spa. They definitely give you more for your money.

we went to Lucky Chengs for my 21st b-day and the girls got me a lap dance. it was ssssoooo funny. after the upstairs closed we went downstairs for karaoke. we had such a blast!

but how bout dinner & a broadway show. there are tons of sites where you can get greats seats for less then retail. or a weekend away somewhere.

Re: Bachelorette Party

I'm 31 as well and I'm not into P E N I S necklaces or strippers so a few girls and I are going to go to the Hamptons for a weekend. We'll drink and lay out by the pool all weekend and go out at night.

I'll also plan a night out in the City and go to bar so more people can join.

I'll be 39 so most of my friends have kids to come home to and don't get out much.

I love Mangia e Bevi in the city for dinner. Fun and inexpenisive great food.

Other options can be a comedy club or a fun show such as de La Garde, blue man. I don't have a clue what I'm going to do yet.
